REFS - NBA trying to give this series to LA

It was bad calls both ways, but the egregious non-calls went against the Jazz and in the Clippers favor.

There was a moment where Hayward was shooting the 3, and got hit on the elbow. The guy with the ball, behind the 3 point-line, hit hard on the elbow while shooting - and no call???????

Also, the push into Rodney Hood's chest was a flagrant 1 by definition.

" A foul is considered flagrant when it involves excessive or violent contact that could injure the fouled player."

Yep, if that were Harden taking that shot, not only would the refs have called it, but they would have invited Harden to their room after the game to consumate it.

With that said, any suggestion that this game was on the refs is dumb. I mean, LA shot only about 6 free throws until just before the end of the game. Memphis definitely had a legitimate complaint about the refs, Jazz do not, so far.

Refs really sucked tonight

Worst about about being a Jazzfan is having garbage officiating be the difference between a post season win and a lost season loss. Tony Brothers should do time for his complicity in the Chris Paul **** Sho that took place in SLC .

If the refs are gonna be this one-sided then someone needs to perform a Karl Malone elbow to Chris Paul's dome. At least that way maybe the NBA will think twice before trying to hose the Jazz.

I think they need to give the coaches 2 challenges per half, to be used anytime they want. It would eat one of their time-outs if they don't win the challenge.

The refs were not good in this game but it is not the reason we lost. Jazz players did seemingly get frustrated with the calls that effected their play but that is on the players not the refs. You can not let bad calls change how you play or get you down/frustrated. We also just missed fts, open shots, and did not play hard in the 4th.

Bump

David West did a similar foul to Evan Turner and it was called a flagrant. A big reason why I think it was called a flagrant: Turner threw the ball in West's direction after the foul and they angrily walked past each other. Made much bigger deal out of the foul than Hood did. In that situation you probably have to ham up the reaction to make sure the refs call a flagrant. Turner ended up getting a tech to for throwing the ball, but that is still a net positive outcome for the Blazers.

Yup, had Rodney Hood got pissed and shoved back - then the refs would have accessed a flagrant 1. It's a shame that you have to be a petulant child to get respect/some level of fairness - but that's clearly the way it is. Dennis Lindsey's stats and fouls report that he published did absolutely nothing to affect officiating. While David Fizdale has a post-game meltdown, gets fined, and all of sudden the Grizz-Spurs series is tied up.

Doc was working the referees all of game 3, constantly yelling at them. And what do we see from the 2 minute report?

Well according to the two minute report 3 out of the 3 fouls that were called on Joe Johnson during the last two minutes were bogus. That sucks.

Also Paul Pierce fouled Favors on a shot - no call.
Deandre Jordan fouled Favors on a shot - no call.

And Deandre Jordan got away with two 3 second violations.

I wouldnt say what Turner did was being "petulant child", it's just not acting nice.

When Speights fouled Hood he went over to help him up and Hood just kind of ignored him. You have to act a little mean in that situation so the refs think there is something to clean up.

Link to this two minute report?

We shot 22 free throws, they shot 6 before we started fouling them to stop the clock. What a ****ing pathetic thread, I'd be ashamed if fans of other teams came here and saw how whiny people around here are.

Yup. These kinds of threads are super embarrassing.
