Gobert update thread

The biggest question for me is if this is an injury that he can do more serious long term damage if he plays. If it is then I would prefer he not play as much as that sucks. I don't want a grant hill situation.

They won't clear him if that's the case.

this injury reminds me of the one from kyrie irving in the finals 2 yrs ago vs the GSW in the finals.

Yea wtf Log. You act like winning this series means nothing if we can't beat the Warriors.

Winning the series means nothing if Gobert ends up like Favors actually. Unless it would guarantee a ring that is too great a risk. Let him get fully healthy, then bring him back.

You play to win the game. If Gobert can play, you play him. Getting out of the first round is valuable to the morale of the team entering next year. Going against what might be the most talented basketball of all time in a 7 game series would be great experience.

Putting up a good fight against GSW brings a lot more Hayward re-signing potential than a first round bounce, so there are a lot of "long-term" franchise factors at play. He hyperextended his knee. It's not like coming back too early from an Achilles rupture.
