And Boris. Obviously.
I got me three casks of blended malt scotch aging right now. Got bout four years age in that barley mash almost. Might have to tap one them maple barrels soon I am gettin itchy after waitin this long. Shoot load of work went into that.
First you gotta germinate the barley for seven days to convert starch into sugar. We don't want no vodka. Then you suppose to dry it in a kiln but all I had was a old water heater an a fire pit. I cleaned that thing out real good with bleach an dumped the mash in the hole I cut out the top.
Makin my pot still was a pain in the ***. Basically I took a large pot with a metal lid an welded it shut, cut a hole to pour mash n stuff in an soldered on copper tubing for the condensation to drip from. Problem was I cauold only do it over fire so keeping the temp just below boiling point was hard.
I call it blended malt cause I made some with corn from the neighbors farm an some with wheat than I kept combining em all in to three barrels over about three months.
You like scotch? Tastes like dead elk a-hole an what will burn your ****hole to but man oh man that stuff gets ya crazier then tequila. There's a reason them damn drunjards in Ireland and Scotland drink the vinegar piss.
