What's new

Enjoy this team on Sunday.

The Thriller: I haven't given up on Dante yet. Next season will be telling, perhaps, as to whether he'll be a quality player in this league. If he comes along it could be big for us next season. In some ways, having 4 guards saved us this year. But it also probably hampered Dante's development a bit.

You literally can't get something at true value and a discount at the same time.

Also, can someone please change Shad? He **** in his diaper again. tia

I see what you're saying but if the price is set above true value, which Hill's agent will certainly do, then in bargaining you discount the inflated price, you indeed can have both. It happens every day in the used car market, as well as real estate. Hill's not worth what his agent will be asking and hopefully no one gives him it. (Well at least we don't give him it.) If someone else wants to over pay him more power to them and kudos to Hill. If not, we get him at near his true value, or near to it. (Probably market value would be a better term to use.)

One of my self pet peeves is blaming refs. I am so guilty of it that it bothers me to no end. I hate when I do it. So I try not to get into discussions about refs and their calls. However, game 7 is going to be so lopsided that I fear if I watch it, I may never watch an NBA game again. So I am going to tread lightly come Sunday. Come in here and see how the game is going. If it's called fair I may watch. If it isn't, well it's been a fun year.

Ref's be damned. We're a small market team and as DL has proven we will be on the short end of the calls. We generally are, somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% of the time if I remember correctly. It just makes it that much sweeter when the Jazz win. It makes us the ultimate underdog.

How did 4 pgs hamper his development when 2 of the 4 are barely NBA players? Hill is fine. But Mack and Neto?

It doesn't matter how many PGs you have on your squad if you're better than them. If Exum can't even beat out Mack and Neto, then how bad is he? How much does he need to improve this offseason so Quin won't be compelled to play Neto over Exum?

You're making a good case. If there weren't 4 guards the coaches would've been forced to take a different tack, is what I'm thinking.

I think Exum should've got more burn this series. Trouble is, I'm not at practices and I'm certainly not anything near as smart as our coaching staff.

We shot 7 more FTs than the Clippers last night...

Maybe we should look at our 50 percent FT shooting before blaming the refs? or 26 percent from 3? We make just 80 percent of our FTs and 30 percent of our 3s we win last night.

But yeah sure, lets blame the refs and already complain about them for game 7.

Well that's what I'm questioning. Why isn't he playing? Why isn't this guy contributing? I won't accept youth as an excuse. Blame youth for Exum not being an all-star? Sure, that's fine. But not even contributing? That's a terrible excuse. There needs to be more to it. Either the coaches have made a mistake in not giving him more burn or something is wrong with Exum's development (lazy? BBall IQ? Courage?)?

Both Lyles and Exum unable to beat out Diaw and Mack/Neto this year is an even greater disappointment than the most likely scenario of losing this series.

Why aren't these two contributing ANYTHING?

Was gonna disagree with NAOS but then a scene from the other guys popped into my head

NAOS is Michael Keaton

SoUJazzFan is Mark Wahlberg

And I'm Will Ferrell in the first 11 seconds of this clip

Remember when we pulled off Game 7 on the road in Houston? That was a better team than the current Clippers compared to that Jazz roster imo. We just might pull it off after all. What's a rally if not a really cool coming from behind victory?

And if we should lose before the journey's through, I've already grieved the loss a bit because of Game 6. So I've already absorbed and started to process the disappointment, even while holding out hope for a win in 7.

Remember when we lost game 6 at home with BLAKE GRIFFIN injured?

We need CP3, Paul George or Westbrook.

Exum has outplayed both of them this season. Snyder has his reasons for not playing him in the playoffs much but what we can judge them on is what they do when they play and Exum has played better than Mack or Neto this season.
