OFFICIAL: daring bitches to look into turf toe

He played 8/11 possible playoff games for the Utah Jazz.

he's a tough hombre for sure. I wonder how many of those games played were pain free. If we want to progress as a team for the future, we've got to find a way to keep him pain free.

George is a good guy. Smart and really good. This year he turned 30 and seemed to collect several odd injuries. Unfortunately once you become injury prone that trait seems to stick. I wouldn't sign him to a high dollar contract.

That was once true, but it may be changing though, because 4 of the 5 teams who have been to the finals since 2012 have had a point guard who made the all star team that year. (Curry, Irving, Parker, Westbrook)

The taller you are the easier it is to be good at basketball. If you have two people same speed, same handle, one is 8 inches taller, the one that is eight inches taller is probably going to be better. It's not rocket science.

That was a very random response...

Butler came back from turf toe and took the next logical steps forward in his development-- but he's young.

If George Hill can return at the right deal, he's the logical choice for this franchise-- unfortunately, figuring out what the "right deal" is, is worrisome-- especially given the contract extension he turned down. Factor in age, as well as the other teams who will be requesting his services, and this idea of "George at the right price, for the right length" becomes bleak and nearly impossible.

We don't even know what the extension was that he was offered. It's all speculation at this point. It could have been a bad offer for all we know.

Seems like a good reason not to re-sign him. Never seems like a long time.

Unless he does something during the summer to aggravate it, he should be fine next fall. Being a veteran, a rigorous summer workout isn't as important to his performance next year, so he should return to the same level of play we saw last November. Whether he will be in a Jazz uniform is the big question.

I havent read through these posts so apologies if I'm repeating what others have posted....but turf toe is an awful, AWFUL, injury. It really needs to have its name changed to something more serious. I've had both turf toe and plantar fasciatis(however its spelled)

Let me tell you...its painful. My turf toe was a very very mild one and it was super painful to do any kind of quick movement. Running, jogging all was super painful. Walking even hurt. So imagine a bad case of turf toe and then imagine trying to guard steph curry. Toe injury sounds wussy and the name 'turf toe' makes it sound like it got hurt while being on grass...but its not, its very painful and one that just lingers.

Same for the plantar fasiatis. I had a mild case of that and it hurts all the time, no matter what, even if you are laying down.
Really should respect Hill for playing through this injury, I can't imagine how bad it had to hurt
