Jazz know what they are going to do with George Hill(probably)

To those claiming Hill isn't worth a lot of money: please stop.

-He is a very good rebounder on a team that gives him rebounding opportunities (a team without Gobert and Hayward).

-He gets to the line at a decent clip.

-Most importantly, he takes a ton of pressure off of Hayward so he and Diaw and Gobert and Hood and everyone on the team can exploit missmatches and defensive overplaying. React offense is what QS is all about, and Hill creates the type of pressure and read-react that is required for that type of play.

If you want to tell me Hill isn't worth getting paid then GTFO like when Hayward got paid the first time. My only issue with this is building a loser in Gobert-Hayward-Hill. It's not getting you anywhere. That does not mean Hill is not worth a HUGE salary increase.

I don't know about HUGE raise. his health is a MAJOR concern. I don't think he rates what he did when he turned down the Jazz extension offer. Additionally the pg position league wide is pretty deep. I think my personal limit is 22 million per, but ONLY if my medical staff tells me the injuries were flukey.

Hayward was early 20s back then, Hill is 31.
And yes, he is good, but not that good to be worth 20m per year.

Hill is a good player, but he doesn't make us a contender. We need more around Gobert and Hayward provided that Hayward stays long term.

Especially for a 31 year old point guard who's starting to have foot/toe injuries. With all the mileage I don't know if I'd pull the trigger. I mean look at DWill for example when Brooklyn signed him to that contract - was he ever the same again?


Tough call.

No it isn't. If he gets an offer for $28 million, you say, "Congrats, good for you! See you around."

But he won't get an offer nearly that large. Now $22 million, that might be a tough call.

I'd go $22M/year tops. I don't think there's any team out there that would exceed that amount on Hill. The teams that do have more than that to spend will likely go after the bigger fish like Lowry and CP3.
