Following Potential 2017 Free Agents

Milos Teodosic

"CSKA will soon engage in one the greatest decisions the franchise had in a long time. Milos Teodosic – NBA or Europe? Several NBA GMs and scouts are eye-balling the Serbian wizard floor general. With ex-CSKA assistant Quin Snyder leading Utah into the second round of the playoffs with loads of international flavor, sources tell me the Jazz are bound to shoot Teodosic an offer-sheet. The Brooklyn Nets are also in active pursuit. People close to Teodosic estimate that he’ll push for a deal in 3-years $25-30 million range. “I’m proud to have elite NBA GMs from Brooklyn, San Antonio, Denver, Oklahoma, Houston and others as friends. Teams that want to scout Milos are able to do so with or without CSKA’s assistance. I think the teams that have concrete interest in Teodosic weren’t mentioned in the media.”

We keep surrounding ourselves with Holy figures. Hopefully this sparks championship fever.

Donatas Urbonas: Motiejunas told he prefers San Antonio, Golden State, Utah or Washington. ‘I like their game and I also have some interest from them’ 3 days ago – via Twitter

He's only 26. I wouldn't mind him as a backup PF for cheap if Trey Smiles is traded.

Okay, so here's a guy I haven't heard anyone mention in any thread.

Alan Williams.

He's 24 years old, 6'8", 260 pounds, with a 7'1.75" wingspan and 8'10.5" standing reach, both better than Draymond's long measurements. In 15.1 minutes per game this year for the Suns, he averaged 7.4 points (on 51.4%) and 6.2 rebounds, including 2.0 offensive rebounds per. Fast pace or not, those are some pretty gaudy rebounding numbers. He was 7th in the league in rebounds per 36. Again, I know the Suns play at a fast pace but his size and rebounding and age is attractive at what I assume will be a cheap price.

What do we know about him? Can he play any defense? Can he also play some 5? Does he have to room to grow?

He has never attempted to shoot a three in the league which is a negative but if we're looking for a cheap body as Favors and Johnson could be on there way out, he may be an interesting cheap option.

Any chance the Pistons don't retain KVP and trade Boban for Burks and a 2nd?

I'm worried that we might have to give up 30 in a deal with Burks. That's why I was excited about a potential Rubio trade involving Burks. We'd get a starting point guard that is only adding $4M to the salary cap and we could use the money we were gonna spend on Hill to go after another FA. This was all done assuming Hayward opted-in though.

Shawn Long from the Sixers is interesting. He's not free agent so this isn't exactly appropriate but I'm scouring for cheap guys who bring something to the table.

He had a very good rebounds per 36 (16th in NBA--Gobert was 11th) but can hit the three some at a 36.8% clip on 1.1 attempts per game.

13.0 minutes, 8.2 points on 56% from the floor, 36.8% from three as mentioned, 54.3% from the line, 4.7 rebounds (2.4 defensive, 2.3 offensive), 0.7 assists, 0.5 steals, 0.5 blocks.

Really solid numbers overall except from the stripe.

I wonder if we could dump Burks for this clown. The Sixers have the cap room. The kid is under 2M per and isn't an RFA til 2019.

I was listening to a national sports talk show last night while driving and heard something that was intriguing. They were projecting that the primary free agent Boston will pursue is Paul George, Hayward is secondary. The big issue is obviously what Boston decides to do with their number 1 pick. A lot will be impacted by the Bulls willingness to trade Butler for the pick.

Not sure how they debate between George and Hayward as free agents...

Great let boston get george then the jazz can swoop in and get butler. hehehe (i can dream so shut up)

No I meant George isn't a FA, unless they were thinking Hayward was going to opt-in and be a FA when George is.

Tiago Splitter would make a nice Gobert back up

Rueben Patterson could also offer floor spacing and injury insurance to favors.

Javale McGee would also be a nice gobert back up.
