Further leaks pointing to "the Russian thing" as the reason Trump fired Comey. I doubt the "nut job" comment is going to go over very well among FBI rank and file....

The New York Times is citing a document that summarizes Trump's meeting with the Russian ambassador and foreign minister for the following quote:
“I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job. I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”
In the meantime, the Washington Post is reporting that a current White House official is now "a person of significant interest" in the investigation of possible coordination between the Trump campaign and the Russians:

Comey is the partisan leftwing nutjob who weaseled his way to appointments under the Republicans years ago with outright lies, and betrayed every such promise he made.
Comey is the hack who usurped DOJ oversight over criminal investigations to protect Hillary and see that she was not prosecuted for her criminal actions in trying to circumvent FOIA law and security laws of the United States, nor for taking millions of payola for special favors to..... get ready.... drum roll..... helping the Russian oligarchy secure US mineral rights to a significant portion of the US uranium reserves....and get this and consider your own credibility, Red, bro.... right on those lands your know are vital to learning about our early American indigenous peoples....
Do you really have no problem at all with Comey covering up Russian deals Clinton and Obama made which resulted in millions of dollars of payola? Do you really have no concerns at all with foreign oligarchs being given rights to US mineral reserves over land that are now closed to US citizens for further exploration or development?
I think Trump did the right thing to fire Comey. I think Comey was a criminal, a felon, responsible for leaking classified information he had no right to let loose, for political purposes, to affect US elections.
This is going to backfire bigtime on your stated(albeit privately) purpose to join your efforts with those who just want Trump un-elected by the Deep State committed swamp things. Or revolutionaries, which you deem reputable, who wish to overthrow the US election results.
If Trump is run outta office by such partisan witch=hunts while ignoring the lawlessness of Hillary and Obama, I don't believe most Americans will listen to the backers of this revolution anymore. We might end up with Pence as President, but he is actually a god-fearing conservative, and much less inclined to wheel and deal at the expense of conservative principles than Trump is, and you will lose anyway, even more Big-Time.

This is the big problem. ****ty news groups like Fox news, breitbart news and so forth have convinced people (including our President) that all other sources of media are liars and bad. They stopped trusting good news and rely on crap news with no integrity.
Also funny that people think of Fox as alternative news when it is as main stream as you can get. They are the most watched news in the US. O'Reilly was the most watched cable news show until that ended. It is quite sad. Especially when there is good quality news out there.

Pretty terrible choice. The FBI director position has historically, for very good reason, not been one filled with politicians with no law enforcement experience.
There's also the small fact that Lieberman is employed by a law firm that has been Trumps go-to law firm for years.
The new director needs to be a non politician who will be above reproach from both Democrats and Republicans, so the people can have faith that any investigations are carried out without consideration for politics.

Apparently, Comey has agreed to testify in public. I find it odd that Mueller would want that, but so Congress believes. Deputy Attotney General Rosenstein told the House today that Mueller has been given the authority to investigate the possibility of a cover up as well...

Babe, in all honesty, I can't begin to understand your world view. It just appears that you've taken a degree of paranoia, there's that word again, and I don't mean it in the sense "people are strange when you're a stranger" paranoia that Jim Morrison captured perfectly in that song, and the tone and menace of that song, and that is often an image conjured by many, in so many words, when that word is used. But I do mean that there is an intellectual paranoia, because the world's history, and the present era, is overlain with a menacing narrative that sees dark and sinister plots behind the consensus reality, a consensus reality that is nothing but a con, a new opiate for the masses, administered by global elites, but that a new populism is going to, not try, it's going to, and here in America in the person of Trump, overturn, and somehow create a better world.
This may as well be a science fiction or fantasy fiction plot in some side bar of the Star Wars genre, with this world view being the minor narrative of Earth in that larger battle against the Darth Vader's of history. It just seems to me that the world view is more an exponent of a specie of paranoia then a genuine factual interpretation of the world today, or America specifically. I realize there is a populist tectonic shift in the West's heart and soul. But the intellectual underpinnings of that movement reveal a certain dis-ease to my eyes, and that tells me it's a symptom of something, not a solution to anything. This is a form of extremism. It's also a narrative, and I'm in learning mode these days for sure, seeing the many narratives that propel humans.
Everybody has a narrative. Everybody has a story to tell. I give you all the credit in the world for your creation, and I realize it's not your's alone, but yet it is, because I believe you infuse a degree of vision and passion that is your's alone, and that propels you to believe you really do have it figured out while others do not. I believe you do give voice to that tectonic shift I referenced, I give you all the credit for being a voice to this narrative and interpretation of history, but for myself the whole movement is a train wreck, a "going off the rails" of the Western mind and heart that I can only witness from outside it. And judge it to be a symptom of something, a dis-ease, and not rooted in Truth.
My heart says this is not rooted in Truth. But this is happening in my time and place, and this guy babe does give voice, to some degree. He's got this narrative down solid. But, then he spills the beans, and makes Trump a good thing in the making, and a fatal flaw appears. Because Trump is a distillation of an America, the ugly American to the power of ten, that America and the world could best do without. But now I'm trending into some minor facet of my narrative, and I'm still attempting to find a clarity of vision. But this is a great time to be alive. It really does seem to be a great turning, shades of Steve Bannon, yikes.
