Sobey flew to the US this week and will attend mini-camps with four NBA clubs including Brooklyn Nets, LA Clippers and the Utah Jazz, while Creek flies out early next week for a mini-camp with the Jazz, then to play with the Jazz in the NBA Summer League.

Both players caught the eye of NBA scouts tracking 36ers import Terrance Ferguson last season, Ferguson is tipped to be picked in the NBA draft on June 23 after he chose to play professionally in Australia instead of attend a US college.

Sobey averaged 15 PPG and won Most Improved Player this year. Creek averaged 12.1 PPG and shot 45.8% from 3 on 1.1 attempts a game.

It certainly seems to say a lot about Ferguson if NBA teams went there to scout him and instead came away inviting two of his teammates to mini-camps.

This makes no sense.

What? That makes no sense man.

No ****.

It happens all of the time. Teams go to watch a specific player and come away liking one or two of their teammates as well. It has nothing to do with Ferguson. Good for those guys making the best of their opportunity when the scouts were there.

It's pretty amazing that you guys would harp on one thing I said that was clearly sarcastic instead of saying anything relevant to what the thread is actually about. Not one mention about either player in this thread so far.

No.

You're trying to say that since these guys who according to you aren't that good got camp invites, it means that Ferguson was underwhelming.

In reality all it means is that some scouts went to see Feeguson and saw some other players they thought might be decent. Them being invited has no correlation to Ferguson being bad. Don't try to backtrack by playing the "I was joking" card. It's not a good look.

What would Ferguson have to do with either one of them getting invited? Once again you haven't said anything about either player. Just beating a dead horse as usual.

You're the one who brought him up!

Ferguson didn't exactly set the NBL on fire, I watched a couple of the 36ers games this year, he didn't look like a lottery pick to me. He is a project, looks too small to play with men at the moment.
