Since he's on a friendly contract, don't you think we ought to wait and see until the trade deadline and see if he can regain his form and expand his game? He had enough time watching to be able to figure out his role. He was wasted standing in the corner waiting to shoot 3's, as is Dante.

Friendly? Since when is paying 11 million a year to a guy who sucks and can't stay on the court a friendly contract?
 
You don't trade Burks because it would take assets to dump him. We keep him and hope he can get healthy. Either way, he gains value either through his play or expiring contract.

I like alec but I like him love him another team, id trade him for some hot dance squad ladies probably 3 id pull the trigger
 
I don't think he'll be important, but he's worth keeping around for this particular scenario.

He won't fill Hayward's shoes, but he might recoup some value and maybe be good again.

Even when healthy he was one of the worst defensive wings in all NBA. He just does not fit current Jazz philosophy.
When you think that we could have had Kawhi instead of Burks....getting really depressing.
 
Why ignore anyone, unless they flat out insult you repeatedly? Just take what they say with a grain of salt. Yes, I have an inflated opinion of Burks because I saw potential before his injuries and I'm disappointed and hoping against hope that somehow he'll get back.

Regain what form? He's never shown to be more than a ball dominant inefficient drive player with a sketchy shot. At full peak he was not worth what he is paid. He got that on the hopes he could develop and be a better player. He hasn't. Be that because of injuries or low IQ or inability to pass, I don't know or care. Even if Burks gets healthy and becomes the player he was before, it is not what the Jazz need.
 
He was getting serviceable from 3 for a bit there. It would be great to see him healthy. Definitely fun to watch.

Most athletic player on the team with speed and hops to burn. He could take anyone off the dribble. That is a talent you can't teach.
