Ranking details: I used the following mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

except Kostja Mushidi withdrew goes to show how many sites are stupid

Just two sites actually. He wasn't listed on any more than that. :-)

(...which actually kind of makes my question whether there's an error in my instant run-off routine. Seems like he shouldn't be ranked in the top 60. I'll have to check on that.

I checked it and it's working properly. It was just one of those weird things about the algorithm. The two sites that had him listed had him as their top choice of all the remaining candidates at that point, and the votes were spread so thin in the late second round that those two votes were enough to get him tied for the overall top choice (at that point).

Kurucs withdrew also

Thanks, I was wondering about that, but four sites still had him listed.

OK, without Kurucs and without Mushidi, the list looks like this:

1 Markelle Fultz
2 Lonzo Ball
3 Josh Jackson
4 De'Aaron Fox
5 Jayson Tatum
6 Jonathan Isaac
7 Dennis Smith
8 Malik Monk
9 Lauri Markkanen

Semi is there at 24!!!

100% still behind that the Jazz should draft and develop.A year later it *might* be said the Jazz traded their 12th pick for 49 games of GHILL playing. Then lose a year of development for Exum and Lyles to play veterans who might not even be here next year to accommodate Hayward who it looks like has already checked out from Utah mentally.

Jazz should take
#24 (SG)Terrance Ferguson 6'7",insurance on Alec Burks
#30 (PF)Mathias Lessort 6'10"insurance for Derick Favors

I think the Jazz are already considering Exum as the replacement for Alec Burks, backing up the 2 and playing spot minutes at the 1. I'm curious to know what the Jazz think of Ferguson. They didn't get him in to workout.

Lessort could come in and replace Withey's and Favors' minutes at the 5. He plays big. Several other bigs would be in play for this as well. It's just a question of what the Jazz want their big to do. The way the draft is shaking out out, its possible that Patton could fall to 24, but he's strictly a 5.
