2016 NBA Season Notes/Info

I keep reading about this future Lebron move to both LAC and Lakers after next season. How will either of those teams have both room for him and still be competitive. I am assuming PG would have Join the Lakers as well and the LAC would have to retain both CP3 and Griffin this off season to be teams Lebron would join. I guess maybe Lebron is willing to take a huge pay cut?

Although this latest GM news from Cleveland almost seems like it guarantees Lebron is gone after next season unless they make enough moves and beat Ws and feel like they will beat them again the following season. Lebron (like he has his whole career) is going to do whatever he can to chase rings. I am positive he thinks he needs a bunch more to become GOAT. Although I think some people think he is already and others like me wont be convinced he is the GOAT by joining other really good teams to make them super teams.

I doubt they can fit LeBron, CP3, Blake and DeAndre in the same team, but maybe they can fit 3 of those in?

NBA is going nuts.

News pouring in left and right.

Griffin fired as Cavs GM. Chauncy Billups is the primary target to replace him.

Zanik left Bucks after they hosed him on the GM position. Utah and Cleveland are the candidates to have him join their FO>

Bulls are shopping Butler.

Indy is shopping George.

Lakers shopping Russell in hopes of a lottery pick.

Nets looking to move up in draft.

Pau Gasol just declined his player option for the Spurs to try and re-sign there.

CP3 is looking at the Spurs.

Boston and Philly traded their picks.

Phil Jackson is open to trading Porzingis.

Boston, Miami, Utah, Cleveland, Minny and Phoenix are all connected to Hayward/Butler/George.

Iggy open to leaving the warriors (yeah right).

In the last 2 days this thing just turned in to NBA 2k17

Sounds like Phil Jackson has been fired. And if I heard correctly, Carmelo may be bought out too.

Didnt think this deserved its own thread so I am posting this here.

Someone pointed out to me today that Lebron would probably only have 1 or 2 finals appearances and maybe only 1 championship if he has played in the West his whole career.

I know his teams would have been different so who really knows but just looking at his teams what do you think? Is it safe to assume years Lebron lost in the finals to a West team he would not have even made the Finals? 2 of the years his team won in the Finals it was in game 7. Would his team have made it to the finals and won it all had he had to go through the barrage of Western teams in the playoffs and the regular season instead of his easy paths?

My guess is Lebron makes it 1 or 2 times and wins it those years. Would Lebron be in the GOAT conversation if he only had 1 or 2 championships? My guess he probably still would be but not as many people would have him. Most would just put him top 5 or 10.

Needed this after the snake Durant slithered his way out of OKC. I like OKC's future.

LOL @ Spurs not doing a thing while two or three more superteams are formed in the west. Wtf were their FO thinking?

Are Jazz and Thunder fans now kindred spirits?

Sounds like the Rox are about to get Carmelo lol. I can't wait to bet their under. Harden and Carmelo on d. Carmelo reunited with Mike D. An even worse frontline than last year. A tougher Western conference. What could go wrong?

The NBA just changed the trade deadline for the 2017-18 season. It now ends on the 2nd Thursday before All Star weekend. So no more all star weekend trade speculation.

WOJ tweet is the source.

Rockets signed Moute to a one year, vet minimum deal. They are really filling out that roster nicely and better not go after Carmelo. I still think they could use a Bogut, vet minimum deal maybe, as well as improved backup point guard play. Maybe Rose on a one year deal too?
