Williams is a traditional coach who likes to play two big men and pound the ball inside in the half court, and Bradley spent about half of his time this season playing with either Kennedy Meeks or Isaiah Hicks, neither of whom is much of a shooter. When he played with either Luke Maye (a stretch 4) or Justin Jackson (a small-ball 4) spreading the floor next to him, the Tar Heels were dominant. According to the numbers at hooplens.com, in the 517 possessions that Bradley played without either Hicks or Meeks on the floor, UNC’s offensive rating jumped from 1.15 to 1.19 points per possession while its defensive rating dropped from 0.99 points per possession allowed to 0.93. In the NBA, Bradley will spend a lot more time as the only big man in the game.

I actually like Tony Bradley a little bit. He's #28 on my board. He's raw but I like his size, length, mobility, motor. He rebounds the ball well, especially on the offensive glass. The Jazz saying he shot it well in his workout intrigues me too. He only shot like 3 jumpshots all year but he does look like he has a soft touch. He's also shown flashes of being a good passer.

Yeah, in his workout videos his shot looked solid. Compact simple mechanics with a nice release point. He is definitely someone I have warmed up to the past 24 hours, which probably means we wont draft him. I'm convinced whoever I go into the draft hating, we will get. Which will probably be Isaiah Hartenstein.
 
Zero interest in Bradley. How manu UNC bigs have come out over the past 10-15 years like this that amount to ****?

What does the past 10-15 years of UNC bigs have to do with Bradley though? He's not going to be drafted because of where he went to school. He's going to be drafted on potential and upside.

I never got that argument. Most of the UNC bigs who have been drafted have carved out backup roles for themselves and are respected. True there havent been any stars to come among that position (or really UNC in general), but they produce NBA players. The only guy who was really straight trash was Sean May.

Roy purposefully recruits guys who project to stay in college long-term, so that's probably a big reason why he is unimpressed with their recent track record of NBA talent.

I'd love to see us grab that #26 pick from Portland. I'd be willing to give them 42, 55 and cash if necessary. I think they want out of guaranteed picks. They are trying to get under the tax. I like the talent that should be available between picks 20 and 40ish. Having 24, 26 and 30 would allow us to really control that portion of the draft and walk out 3 good prospects.

We likely go the other way... move picks for players.
