What's new

Patrick Beverley Available

I went to the source for you, the actual CBA. From page 204 of the CBA:

NBPA.com is the official website of the National Basketball Player's Association.

And part of the changes made by the extension of the CBA has the MLE upgraded by 45%.

2017-18 will be increased 45% from the amounts in the 2011 CBA. The revised amounts will increase or decrease annually beginning in 2018-19 at the same rate as the Salary Cap.

So MLE for this upcoming offseason is $8.40565 million.

The link you provided, on page 204 of the document, says $8.406, so they round it.

Your post was changed from when I read it to when I quoted it.

He gets 15-20... maybe a bit more depending on situation. If we offer 18 and SA offers 15... he chooses SA.

He may get it but he is not worth it. I know there are plenty of guys who are getting paid with the new CBA but many of those teams are regretting signing the FA last year to the big contracts. I would be more willing to pay Hill more money if he didn't have feet issues.

If the Jazz can protect their 1st rounders and young players and still get him, then go for it.

Why are people thinking Hill is going to get 20 million a year. He is around 30 with a bad toe. His defense has slipped and there is really no competition for him except SA and they are not going to pay him 20 million.

And what if Hayward is still undecided? You think they want to risk losing both players to try and save a few million on Hill?

Am I right to feel optimistic that if they really did grab PB that that means the FO do still intend to hand the keys to Exum in the nearish future? Or is this about getting a very good vet role player who can play minutes at the 1 and 2 (in other words, nothing to do with X)..

Why are you still dumb to the fact that X is gonna have to take those keys?

Fair enough.

But lengthen the leash....

You realize that Q was internationally regarded for player development before taking this job, right? I think it's time you took another Valium. Or I can personally attest to the value of logging out of JFC for a while.

By coaches and players mind you.

He might have a reputation for player development, but sitting Exum for Mack in an unwinnable series was poor decision making. And there was no reason to play Diaw so much over Lyles since Diaw could barely move compared to GS. Wasted opportunities.

If Hayward leaves, we have to play Exum more. If he emerges,we need him. If he doesn't, we don't extend him.

I've warmed up to Beverley. If DL thinks this is the way to go, lets do it. His contract is amazing and we do need some good contracts going forward.

Yassssss! Even if Hayward leaves its a good deal. Now that stitches is on board this is the way to go for sure.

I think capspace has become more valuable in the last 12 hours so we need to take advantage.
