Paul George will sign extension with the Celtics...only if Hayward signs too

Would sure be easier if Hayward goes to LA, PG follows him there and they recruit one more stud to form a superteam. PG wants to be in LA, and Hayward lives in SoCal during the offseason.

A game of poker is now being played between LA and Indiana, whereby the Lakers either do or do not feel they need to offer much to trade for Paul George. A leaked rumor like the OP would appear to be designed to put pressure on the Lakers to make a better offer or play ball in a multi-team trade that works better for Indiana.

If playing together becomes anywhere near the top priority for PG and GH, then Utah would obviously be the best place to do it. This team wouldn't have to be gutted to make way for them. Also Rudy ****ing Gobert.

IDK how much of this plays a factor in these things, but I bet it does to some extent (bonuses for playing in specific markets and such): Paul George just put out his signature shoe this past year. Do you really think the Nike reps he works with want him anywhere but LA?

Who really believes this... pg is so enamored with Boston he's going to bypass a **** ton of money and has already agreed to if gordon Hayward comes.

Bitch please

I would trade every asset we can not named Gobert, srsly every other one, for PG. There's no way Hill and Hayward walk away from that opportunity. I think PG re-signs after Hill, Hayward, George, and Gobert curb-stomp the league.

This sounds like a desperate attempt by the Pacers to up his value. No one of value (Woj, Stein) is saying anything remotely close to this. And it makes no sense at all if you actually think about it.

I bet that they want him in the finals instead of Curry and his under armour contract. I think in this day and age winning is the most important thing for endorsements. Market is huge too but I think it is secondary. If you can have both that's great but being a winner that is playimg on TV in the summer is the most important thing.

Lately, I find myself thinking I might want KLove more than PG. The attitude **** that PG flashed in the first round this year was deeply unflattering. And, what is he, like 0 for 18 on last-second shots? Isn't his swag way out of proportion to reality?

KLove and Gobert would gobble every single rebound. And establish a killer 4-out 1-in offense.

Guis,

Lots of kids who grow up Laker fans also really love the Celtics. Like, LOOOOOVE. I can todalay believe that PG is ready to sign away millions specifically because it's teh Celtics.

It makes plenty of sense. He thinks, rightly so, that he and Hayward would be a nasty duo. He is signaling(to both GH and Magic) that he really does want to play with Hayward. He's probably built a super-team in his mind and Hayward is on that team.

He probably wants to get traded to the Lakers and hopes that Hayward will join him there.
