What's new

PG to OKC

NW Division will be tough. It's not for weenies. Bring your man card, and suit up. Its going to be one hell of a ride.

I hope Gordo knows this and not run off to the east with his tail between his legs. It's like doing the same thing Durant did, taking to easier way to succeed in the nba. Time to man up Gordo and stick in the west, it's where all the action and competition is at.

It's recruiting now. We laugh at that from the outside, but when you are sitting in Riley's office, and Boston and Utah have both messed up recently and Riley doesn't have the same dirt, and he sits there with all the negative things to say about Utah and Boston, and the rings, and the location...

Look, the money in Miami will be about equal to Utah with no tax in Florida.

Winning will be the same. Hayward on Miami = Hayward on Jazz. BUT, it is a lot easier in the East, so in reality, winning in Miami > winning in Utah.

Miami > Utah.

The only reason to stay in Utah would be relationships. Let's hope those are enough.
I heard a guy on the radio break down the no state tax thing the other day. Basically comes down to a few hundred thousand dollars rather than millions and isn't really much of a factor. You still get state taxed for all away games and cost of living, housing, property taxes and other stuff in Florida plus a bunch of other crap he talked about that I can't remember..... but basically the no state tax advantage is tiny and almost meaningless when it's all said and done.

And if you want Westbrook to stay, you trade for an all-star and improve the talent he has around him. It's an incredible trade for the Thunder. They may have just salvaged the next 5 years of their franchise.

Rumors are the C's were unwilling to give up Brooklyn picks or either Tatum or Brown.

I don't think it's that small but yeah that card gets played too hard. I love that white side is recruiting Hayward too... should really help our chances.

They want to have their cake and eat it too. I hope gordon sees them not pushing in Ainge knows they don't have the juice yet.

You guys think the Jazz ever considered a PG trade? Easily could have beat the OKC offer:

Exum, Hood, Diaw expiring & 1st round pick for PG.

Jazz then resign Hayward:

Rubio
Hayward
George
Favors
Gobert

That team gives the Warriors a run for their money.

With George going to OKC(kinda kills a love deal as well) and Butler to the pups, what targets might be left for DL to target in a trade before the 6th?
