What's new

PG to OKC

Boston has a new pitch IMO. It's this:

Do you want to go through LeBron. Guaranteed All star

Or

Do you want to go through Curry, Green & Durant, Westbrook & George, Harden & CP3, Leonard, Butler & KAT... good luck getting on over all the other all stars...

The chances of hayward making the all star game are slim in the west now UNLESS he goes to the boston, then it's 100%

It was reported that Paul George was open to re-signing with a contender but I don't consider OKC as a contender. Teams are all trying to get to super team status because you can only have so many. In my opinion the Jazz just missed the boat on this one. I feel they were one player away and missed out on Butler, PG13, CP3. Although most realistic would have been Paul George. I feel Hill, Hayward, both would have re-signed here if PG13 came. Btw who was the one that responded to my post saying OKC 1st, jazz 1st, Mitchell, Favors, Burkes, and possibly Hood wasn't enough to get the trade done?

Not buying that at all. Ainge played hardball and it's blowing up in his face. Hayward is his only move left to make. If I'm Gordon, there's no way in HELL that I'd take the Celtics now. Think it was a huge mistake for them to pass up Fultz for Tatum.

Did Ainge play hardball?

Or does he know he can't beat GS, even with George and Hayward, and would rather keep his picks and build for post Curry/Durrant?

I guarantee you Pat Riley will flash his championship rings in front of Hayward while going over all this while on the beach with sun tanned senoritas all around them.

That's a ***** way to look at competing. How many years do any of these guys have. If that was Ainge's plan, then he should be fired.

I think you HIGHLY overvalue Pat's rings and senoritas. What Riley did with Wade and Lebron has ZERO bearing on what Hayward does as a free agent.

It's recruiting now. We laugh at that from the outside, but when you are sitting in Riley's office, and Boston and Utah have both messed up recently and Riley doesn't have the same dirt, and he sits there with all the negative things to say about Utah and Boston, and the rings, and the location...

Look, the money in Miami will be about equal to Utah with no tax in Florida.

Winning will be the same. Hayward on Miami = Hayward on Jazz. BUT, it is a lot easier in the East, so in reality, winning in Miami > winning in Utah.

Miami > Utah.

The only reason to stay in Utah would be relationships. Let's hope those are enough.

The Pacers front office should be gutted and the team sold. What a ****ing joke of a deal.

If you expect Westbrook to leave, this is a dumbe move. If they lose both these guys for nothing, they are going into an extended rebuild of 5-6 years or more.

And if you want Westbrook to stay, you trade for an all-star and improve the talent he has around him. It's an incredible trade for the Thunder. They may have just salvaged the next 5 years of their franchise.
