Ibaka might be the second best fit next to Gobert. What would need to happen to affer him a contract? is there even a chance?

Agreed. But at what point will every team be basically right at the cap and therefore unable to sign another team's guy other than for the MLE?
How many teams right now have more than say 5M in cap space?
I'm not sure what his price tag would be but it would necessitate him wanting to sign here and the Raptors willing to take Exum and Favors or Exum and Diaw to make it work (probably not enough salary in the latter). He'd be great for us, though. Can stretch floor and play good D.
We saved money on Hill -- I'd do it on a 3 year deal.

Yes and no in this scenario. Favors and Exum is $17M this year. Granted they're not around next year but we're saving Hill's hypothetical 18-20 for a couple years after Rubio.
Alright, so what's the plan for the Jazz to clear enough cap space to offer Ibaka what he would want to be paid? Keeping in mind that Hayward's and Ingles's cap holds put the Jazz comfortably over the salary cap already.
It's not realistic if you're bringing back Hayward and Ingles.

Maybe. But my point wasn't even just about Ibaka as much as it was teams and their inability to sign guys because they're at the cap. Won't a lot of guys get much, MUCH smaller contracts than anticipated because of it? Like no greater than the MLE. Won't this happen even worse next off-season and we be able to maybe re-sign two of Favors, Hood and/or Exum?
Sign and trade for Favors and Exum, unless there's whatever that stipulation is from the new CBA on S&Ts.

Yeah, but you arent going to pay him 20 million dollars to do that, especially with how he has been aging he is more of a 5 now than a 4.
If you're willing to give Ingles 15/yr, I'd believe Ibaka would bring at least 25% more value.

How many games featuring Ibaka did you watch last season? I have a feeling most people who like the idea of signing him are envisioning a version of Serge that has sorta passed out of existence.
