Why won't we ever win a championship?
Because you start stupid threads that nobody gives a **** about except to let you know that.
Why won't we ever win a championship?
You're right it isn't difficult. Just because some of them weren't put in the position or "didn't play in an era where players left" still doesn't change the fact that it's never happened.

Ditto. But I'm 31 lol.I'm good with not winning a championship.
I just want likeable players, coaches, and a good team that I enjoy.
I'm 40 years old and the jazz have never won a championship yet I look forward to every single game. Summer league, pre season, regular season, post season.... all of it. Every year.
Don't think that will change.
Ty Corbin was probably the worst thing that I ever had to endure. It was short lived at least.

100% with you on this.
Obviously I want the Jazz to win it, but I want the Jazz team to be somewhat organic. I want drafted players to be a big part of our team. I want high character guys to find our team and want to be a part of what the Jazz are. I want defense.
I don't want to watch hired mercenaries get us a championship. I'd be happy for the Jazz, but it wouldn't be the same as seeing a team grow together and progress slowly and finally put it all together to win it all. That's what we almost had with Stockton and Malone. Nothing would have been better than that Jazz team beating the Bulls in '98. Would have honestly been one of the greatest sports moments in all time across all sports for the die hard fans of that team. I'm glad the Jazz faced Jordan's Bulls. We had a legit shot at beating that team.
So, children, can you imagine rooting for a team of Stockton and Malone from the mid-80s until the late 90s and not having a championship to show for it? Is there patience for any such thing now? Would you have demanded one or both be traded in the early 90s because obviously they weren't going to win a championship and might as well "swing for the fences" with some flavor of the day players? That's the BS I read here every damn day.
Gobert is our guy. We drafted him at 27 and he's one of the most valuable players in the league. We got Hayward with the 9th pick and many questioned it. Today Hayward is looking like the biggest prize in free agency this off season. He's our guy. Ingles was a cast off that got cut from the Clippers. He's one of the best sharpshooters in the NBA.
I love this ****ing team. I want to ride or die with this team. This is my Jazz.

When has a star player ever left for another team? You're talking like it happens all the time. It has literally never happened.

Karl Malone (Lakers)
Deron Williams (nets)
Paul Millsap (hawks)
Gordon Hayward?
Malone was last year of his career. And he actually asked Larry H. about doing so.
Williams didn't leave; he was traded away.
Millsap was never offered a contract to stay.
Hayward is really the first one who may walk.
Your list could also include Matthews, although that was a contract Utah decided not to match.
