The Jazz will never win a championship

You're right it isn't difficult. Just because some of them weren't put in the position or "didn't play in an era where players left" still doesn't change the fact that it's never happened.

Of course not, but it is very necessary context.

Hell, a super model has never turned down a date with me. That statement is missing the important part though, which is that I've never asked one out. Do you understand?

I'm good with not winning a championship.
I just want likeable players, coaches, and a good team that I enjoy.

I'm 40 years old and the jazz have never won a championship yet I look forward to every single game. Summer league, pre season, regular season, post season.... all of it. Every year.

Don't think that will change.

Ty Corbin was probably the worst thing that I ever had to endure. It was short lived at least.

100% with you on this.

Obviously I want the Jazz to win it, but I want the Jazz team to be somewhat organic. I want drafted players to be a big part of our team. I want high character guys to find our team and want to be a part of what the Jazz are. I want defense.

I don't want to watch hired mercenaries get us a championship. I'd be happy for the Jazz, but it wouldn't be the same as seeing a team grow together and progress slowly and finally put it all together to win it all. That's what we almost had with Stockton and Malone. Nothing would have been better than that Jazz team beating the Bulls in '98. Would have honestly been one of the greatest sports moments in all time across all sports for the die hard fans of that team. I'm glad the Jazz faced Jordan's Bulls. We had a legit shot at beating that team.

So, children, can you imagine rooting for a team of Stockton and Malone from the mid-80s until the late 90s and not having a championship to show for it? Is there patience for any such thing now? Would you have demanded one or both be traded in the early 90s because obviously they weren't going to win a championship and might as well "swing for the fences" with some flavor of the day players? That's the BS I read here every damn day.

Gobert is our guy. We drafted him at 27 and he's one of the most valuable players in the league. We got Hayward with the 9th pick and many questioned it. Today Hayward is looking like the biggest prize in free agency this off season. He's our guy. Ingles was a cast off that got cut from the Clippers. He's one of the best sharpshooters in the NBA.

I love this ****ing team. I want to ride or die with this team. This is my Jazz.

I'm always amazed at how many jerks there are on the internet. I express some concerns and opinions and I am insulted by complete strangers.

The Celtics don't develop players, they use their pedigree to lure players to them and admittedly traded pretty well to get some good assets. The Lakers used to do that, but lately they haven't been able to do it (thank heavens). The Jazz can't attract peaking players (yet) so they attract flawed players saying that they will develop them. Unfortunately, as i said, that means that the team will always have some flawed players on the team, which won't attract free agents looking for the super team, so the Jazz will always be good, but not great.

Now, with the Rubio trade: Dude can't shoot. What's the first thing that we all thought when that trade went down concerning his shooting? 'We will help him develop that shot'. If that's true, then we might just have something -IF- Hayward decides to come back. But it still depends on development of players, not bringing in top talent that have a complete game. In order to win a championship, you have to have all of the right players together at the same time with complete games.

Understand that I actually like being a team that takes flawed players and makes something better of them. I just understand that it makes us Batman's Robin, always second place because if a player wants to win a championship, they go elsewhere, not necessarily from us, they may never come here in the first place.

Why didn't we make a strong push for Lebron? Because there wasn't a chance. Durant? Ditto. Why the hell not? (see above)

@cc

You were also insulted by people who know some things about your amazing track record on JFC.

Just to complete your little story up there.

ciao

Don't be silly. It's not fans that lack patience, it's players. Nobody in OKC wanted to trade KD.

Addendum: I have realized in a moment of clarity that it's great that the Jazz are developing players as long as it isn't 'all' they do. If there is a 'next' part of it, then it's great that they are developing talent. The fact that there are 15 players in a roster that only plays five at a time, and the fact that they have two way contracts (which I'm sure Dennis not only loves but might have even lobbied for) opens up some room to do both, so ok:

Backing it up, have your laugh if you must. ;)

What players have you made better to only have them move on? That goes on with every team and some of players the Jazz traded or didn't sign.
Your right they will never win a chip but that's because of one thing. Location. Jazz are never players when it comes to highly sought after free agents and why are they not? Location, it's that simple brother.

QUOTE=cctrackstar;1441815](quoted from another post i made, decided it would make a good topic)

Why won't we ever win a championship? Because we are the quintessential development team. What is our pitch? We have awesome training facilitates and coaches. We will make you better. So what do they do? They come here, they get better and they feel all good about themselves and then they leave to play for a team full of other players that are good to. We are a stepping stone. Because we develop players, we never have the quality of team 'right now' that can win, so a player will always leave when he is ready. We are literally a basketball prep school.
Do you seriously believe your last sentence? Because it is comedy gold brother

QUOTE=rare144;1441845]We may be a farm team for Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Golden State, Cleveland, but we're a damn good one man don't ever forget that! Hold that head high! We developed Gordon Hayward, agents going to be fighting getting their prospects here
Karl Malone (Lakers)
Deron Williams (nets)
Paul Millsap (hawks)
Gordon Hayward?

Malone was last year of his career. And he actually asked Larry H. about doing so.
Williams didn't leave; he was traded away.
Millsap was never offered a contract to stay.
Hayward is really the first one who may walk.

Your list could also include Matthews, although that was a contract Utah decided not to match.

Anyone can "yeah but..." their way to an argument. Point is players have left before and will leave again. It happens. I hope Hayward stays but there are no guarantees.

I agree with all of this except one part. I'm not good with no championships. Not even a little bit. I neeeeeeeeed to see us win one. Even if it's just one. One championship and I can die a happy fan.
