What's new

Ok...Now what?

You think Ainge did out of spite for the Jazz, to rub it in further? Crowder was the obvious choice to trade because Hay was taking his place not Bradley's.

Ainge isn't dumb. He knows that Bradley is going to be able to sign a big deal next year, and he won't have the opportunity to match it. Crowder is on a Cheap contract for 3 years. He is playing the long game, not just for this year. Crowder is a much better piece to keep because of his contract. He also got a stretch 4 on a 2 year deal for another Cheap contract.

I don't think this trade makes them any better, but it makes sense. They don't need a protected first, which is the most the Jazz should have given up for Crowder.

Not sure. I honestly believe that Avery Bradley is one of the most underrated players in the league. And Boston fans love him.

At the end of the day, Ainge kept the bigger long term asset. Bradley is expiring Crowder has 3 more years. I swear Ainge thinks more about asset management than actual fit, need, intangibles. He drafted a 3 when everybody knew they were prioritizing a 3 in free agency.

Then they traded a SG/PG for another SF/PF to compete with Crowder who he should have traded.

You need depth. Hayward needs a backup. Nothing says Tatum and Hayward can't play together. Crowder can play a small 4.

The only other option for Boston was to draft a big. Had they stayed put and drafted Fultz, that would have created problems with IT. The easy explanation for Tatum is that they didn't know if they'd get Hayward or not.

I now HATE Boston. But Ainge is drafting BPA. He has a stable of young talent. Of course, when it comes time to pay everyone, he won't be able to. Other teams are going to raid his closet for all his RFA's.

Tatum will be much better player than Ainge and Colangelo foresaw

lol, Rubio, Ingles and Gobert will start. That's an elite defense. Hood probably plays the SG but we terribly need a good offensive stretch four ala Kevin Love.

Good thinking. That is exactly what mature, highly paid intelligent executives do all the time, engage in petty little personal schemes.

Chill out. He did it because he thought it was a good deal for his franchise.

If they work **** right, can the Celts take on another max contract next summer? I'd love to see them get Westbrook and watch Benedict try to co-exist with that crazy ****.

You think all highly paid executives are always mature and lack the ability to be pettty?
Lololololololololol.

No, they cannot. The only max they can sign is the leprechaun.
