What's new

Respect to Robyn Hayward's incredibly tough journey. Strongest NBA wife in the world.

PG screwed the Pacers by
1. Going public
2. Stating he will go to Lakers when he is a UFA
3. This forced trade for PG for almost nothing

Objectively speaking the only thing I think GH did wrong. And it was bad. Was not owning the leak on the 4th. Obviously none of us really know but it seems he wasted 5 hours for all

I don't have an issue with this post. It's pretty much true, other than I think he knew for much longer than those 5 hours and I think others knew as well.

I do think it also important to allow fans to "grieve" in whatever ways they want to. There is enough reason to be sad or mad about the whole situation. When you invest so much of your thoughts, time, and money into something or someone, it hurts to see them leave no matter the reason. It is personal. Don't try to pretend fans aren't as fully invested in this as players, family, front offices, owners, etc. It may not be their family or how they make a living, but there is a definite investment there in teams and people going on.

Bottom line, it's ok for fans to be angry about him leaving, and the way it went down. It's ok for Hayward to leave. Are there better ways to cope, probably. So what.

I'm not going to say PG's way was better or worse. It could be worse. Better or worse just depends on the lens you are looking through, and your angle on the situations. Neither take is wrong most likely.

My last point is, PG forced a trade for almost nothing. Hayward walked, for absolutely nothing. The Pacers got something out of the deal. The Jazz got Hayward's last year, then zippo. Both suck.

No PG in comparison to GH did the Pacers a solid. There was no doubt that had the Pacers not traded him that he would have played out his contract. The Pacers had a choice to have George for one more year or make a trade to recoup some value. The Jazz did not have the information that would give them that clear choice. Hayward chose not to share it. Are you ****ing stupid? Srsly

I'd guess Hayward has had a slow burn for Boston since he was a Bird fan growing up in Indiana

Which I find extremely odd, as Larry Bird retired when Gordon was 2 and I can't certainly remember that before 2007 and Youtube, watching old NBA games required the kind of effort only nerds like me put in.

Wow not the sharpest tool in the shed here.

When you are a UFA and the contract is up it’s done. Hayward met his commit and advanced the jazz in a big way his last year

Does the FO tell a player a year in advance they are not in their plans. This is a unique time in a players career where they have the leverage and not management

Personally I love it because the nba and owners take much more than they give. It’s the nba that is screwing small market teams. Not the players

Paul George did not violate his contract! If the Pacers wanted him to play out his contract he would have. Paul George did tell the Pacers a year in advance. He didn't have to but he did. There is no way to make a reasonable argument that George is an ******* that ****ed the Pacers but Hayward did it the right way.

Further Paul George did more to advance the Pacers than Hayward ever did the Jazz. Larry Bird screwed the Pacers long before Paul George was honest with the Pacers and their fans.

Personally I don't like how the PG thing played out either but he was more considerate to the Pacers than GH was to the Jazz.

Still the Millers took out a full page ad in 2 papers thanking Hayward. Pretty sure the Pacers didn't do that.

Now you know how we feel, anytime you open your GODDAMN mouth.

How does it feel, you ****ing clown????

Huh? I'm sitting here in my house, listening to the waves crash on the shore, watching game of thrones.

I feel pretty damn good actually.

This I don't get. Utah has a "weird" perception. This only adds to it.

What company loses their top employee, setting them back years, and then thanks the employee for it?

Just as Hayward's epistle was dumb, so was this.

Sports and jazz fans are for me. I'm not the one attacking a player's wife, attacking a player, and being a general baby.
Drama queen
