Sorry this is so short. But in fan forums, as in all things, the East is pitiful compared to the West. JazzAvenues

You are the new Gordon Haywood in Utah. Try not to go out at 4am on gamenights
Loved Thabo aka Sane*Tony Allen. *He was butt*on offense in every city yet a majority of fans had heavy respect for him being an exquisite defender and class act.**He's a great conduit for Quinn's message to the young guys. *He played a significant role in DeMarre, Baze, Kyle, and Sap becoming*better defenders. *I'm sure we'll see him often in Atlanta with his Euro fashion store and all the adoring womens.

That Jazz team is going to be unreal on defense if nothing else.

Thabo will be a nice addition in Utah...good for the Jazz. The it the right number and the right term for Sefolosha.

Actually, it is quite funny the Utah Jazz is in the exact situation that the Atlanta Hawks were last season…
( a ) Losing their best player to the Boston Celtics on a 4-yr*MAX*deal.
( b ) Everyone is on short 1 to 2 year contracts,
( c ) Except the prized young star (Gobert / Schroder) and the two late first round picks.
( d ) They traded a player (Trey Lyles) to move up into the lottery to grab Donovan Mitchell at #13 (Hawks traded Teague for Prince #12)
( e ) They drafted a second player in the first round in Tony Bradley at #28 (Hawks drafted Bembry at #21)

We have RUBIO to help facilitate our scoring...

Rubio is where efficient scoring all starts and ends. If he can facilitate the scoring then we have a team. If he can't, then we are going to watch a lot of first team to 80 ppg games.

Seriously, I can see us limiting teams to below 90 ppg this season! That would be INSANE!

We lost:

Withey (would even let a playmate 'pick and roll' him)
Mack (serviceable scorer, but not a great defender)
Hayward (ALL HEART TEAM 2017)
Hill (Facilitator for 49 games, Toe Fungus - reject $80 million greedy dorkus)
Can't say for certain but likely... Diaw (a great locker room presence, but the performance on the court wasn't there IMHO)

We added:

- Top 2 defender from this years draft
- Top 2 - 5 defensder at point guard in Rubio
- Top 2 defensive Center from Europe
- Top 5 wing defender (Thabo)
- Enforcer in Jerebko

We were already a top 3 defensive team in the league. I can't see how we aren't the top defensive team in the league. That alone is an identity. We will have individuals learn to score but Rubio is the engine for that end of the court. TBD.

Damn, that could be true. But can we score at the other end?!?!

Believe in Rudy, Rodney, Rubio, Faves and Spida. Oh and jingle all the way to Jesustown. Jazz will be fine. How many of their opponents can say the same after playing them?

These were my favorite quotes:

He's a great conduit for Quinn's message to the young guys. *He played a significant role in DeMarre, Baze, Kyle, and Sap becoming*better defenders. - Pretty damn exciting when you consider that the Jazz have Gobert, Favors, Jingles, Hood, Rubio, Mitchell and Exum on the roster. He's the defensive Joe Jesus for Utah.

*I'm sure we'll see him often in Atlanta with his Euro fashion store and all the adoring womens. - Utah's new Boris Diaw. . .

False. Gobert is still here.

Even in Utah, Hayward typically saw more love than Gobert. That has always annoyed me. During the series against LAC, people were chanting "MVP" when Hayward went to the line. I remember smh and telling Bulletproof "Come on now. He's not even our MVP".

As long as it is at least one point more than the other team, I will be happy.

Can't tell you how much I'd like the Jazz to get healthy and shock everyone. The NBA hasn't had a truly Cinderella champion since the 2004 Pistons. Could you imagine the stories that would be told about the 2017/18 Jazz if they could overcome losing an All-star player and emerge from the bloodbath of the West to be a contender? This is Rudy's team now and Quin's brand of defensive, physical basketball is going to be brutally ugly at its finest. I can't wait.
