Bernard King would be my first choice in the previous round.

Joel Embiid is a great pick.
I have thought about picking him if he fell to me but then I got Parish in a trade.
I don't think his injury history will affect the votes all that much. People saw what he can do as a rookie so they will vote for how good he is, not how many games he can play.

I dunno though, he was good but for a very brief period of time, maybe just a handful of games? Not sure everyone took note of that last season.
Sometimes it's also what people remember last about a player. For example, a PG who has had a pretty good career for an East coast team is never gonna get picked in this thing cos he had a very unfavourable stint with the Jazz.

A handful of games? He played just 38 games or so and was still in strong running for ROY. He's an elite basketball player and I hate to break it to this board, a much better overall player than Rudy.
