Wecome to Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 1.0. I'll try to update this every so often. Here are who the mock drafts are listing as the "best players". See below for details. It should give a pretty good idea of who will be available when the Jazz pick.

1 Kyrie Irving
2 Derrick Williams
3 Enes Kanter
4 Jan Vesely
5 Kemba Walker
6 Brandon Knight
7 Jonas Valanciunas
8 Bismack Biyombo
9 Alec Burks
10 Donatas Motiejunas
11 Kawhi Leonard
12 Jordan Hamilton
12 Tristan Thompson
14 Marcus Morris
15 Jimmer Fredette
16 Markieff Morris
17 Chris Singleton
18 Tobias Harris
19 Kenneth Faried
20 Klay Thompson
21 Tyler Honeycutt
22 Trey Thompkins
23 Reggie Jackson
24 Jordan Williams
25 Nolan Smith
26 Darius Morris
27 Nikola Mirotic
28 JaJuan Johnson
29 Kyle Singler
30 Travis Leslie

Ranking details: I used the 16 most up-to-date mock drafts I could find as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

If you have suggestions for mock drafts I should add to the list, or ones I should take off, please let me know.

Thank you for doing that.

Just one thing - what's your thoughts on Jan Vesely's draft stock given his contract situation? Seems most mock drafts do not mention this as an issue for teams picking him early in the lottery.

What's your take?

I'm by no means an expert on the players yet, I just crunched the numbers. But from what little I know, I'd be wary. I'd rather have the Jazz pick someone else with the #6 pick if by chance Vesely is still available.

colton you should include ESPN's Chad Ford's NBA Insider mock draft, I have an ESPN Insider subscription if you want me to message it to you.

Thanks Colton. I have been looking at every mock I can find lately. And they are all so different. You putting that all together really sheds some light on were this draft could be headed. If the draft did come out like that and we got Knight and Hamilton I would be pretty happy with our Draft.

EL OH EL

A private message probably would be a better method to use to present this type of offer going forward. It's a nice offer though!

I tend to agree with Colton on Kawhi Leonard and Jordan Hamilton - both of them have length and athletic ability. A lot of people have them on the lottery bubble for some reason; but I think once these guys get in-house and work out for teams they'll bump up the charts.
