Wecome to Colton's Mock Draft Compilation, v. 4.0. I'll try to update this every few days. Here are who the mock drafts are listing as the "best players". See below for details. It should give a pretty good idea of who will be available when the Jazz pick.

1 Kyrie Irving (formerly 1)
2 Derrick Williams (2)
3 Enes Kanter (3)
4 Jan Vesely (4)
5 Kemba Walker (5)
6 Brandon Knight (6)
7 Jonas Valanciunas (8)
8 Bismack Biyombo (7)
8 Donatas Motiejunas (10)
10 Alec Burks (9)
11 Kawhi Leonard (11)
12 Marcus Morris (12)
13 Tristan Thompson (13)
14 Jordan Hamilton (14)
15 Jimmer Fredette (15)
16 Markieff Morris (16)
17 Kenneth Faried (17)
18 Chris Singleton (18)
19 Tobias Harris (19)
20 Klay Thompson (20)
21 Tyler Honeycutt (21)
22 Reggie Jackson (22)
23 Nolan Smith (23)
24 Lucas Noquiera (24)
25 Trey Thompkins (25)
26 Darius Morris (26)
27 Jordan Williams (27)
28 JaJuan Johnson (28)
29 Nikola Mirotic (30)
30 Travis Leslie (unranked)

Falling off the list: Kyle Singler

Ranking details: I used the following 16 mock drafts as "voters" for the best players. That is, I assumed they ranked the players in the order that they felt like the players deserved to be drafted. (This is an incorrect assumption, because some mock drafts account for perceived team need, but it should be close.) Then I used the "instant run-off voting" algorithm in a program I wrote to deduce who deserved to be ranked in the top spot, then in the second spot, then in the third spot, and so forth. See here for details on that algorithm: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instant-runoff_voting

Changes from v 3.0: I put the hoopsworld mock draft back in (it was updated). Three other drafts updated. And I took this one out because it's really old:

Why? "Because he didn't play a lot last year" isn't really an answer either. What have you seen from him that makes you think that?

He's 180 pounds. He's not physically dominate. He's been so hyped and has done absolutely nothing. More than anything, it's just my gut feeling.

The case you should be trying to make is that you're not sure if he'll be good or not if you haven't seen enough or know enough. Not that he's going to suck because he's 180 pounds (he's also a PG, and 6' 2").

P.S. three out of four of the people I want most in this draft are enigmas (Irving, Kanter, Biyombo), I feel like that should tell me something but I'm not quite sure what it is. Time will tell, perhaps.

Dude, no one has seen him play enough. Dude was injured most the year. When I did see him I never thought once to myself, "# 1 pick material."

Wow did singler make a huge mistake not comming out last year. I think t jones, sullinger and p jones will all be regretting their decision passing up this year.

His freshman numbers are almost identical to Chris Paul's. He is a little bit bigger than Paul and he has a faster shot than Paul.

Do you realize Knight is 185 and taller? Also talking about weight until we get the official measurements is a little silly.

"dominant" not "dominate". Sorry, arch, this one bugs me so much, and seems to be all too common on message boards (along with compliment/complement and definitely/definately).
another one: Seems like most people don't understand the proper use for the words "your" and "you're".

I'm also interested in Marcus Morris's ability to play the 3. If he really is the next Granger then that would be the ultimate pick at 12.

Also, looking at Granger's college stats, he wasn't always the greatest shooter. He shot about 30% for most of his college year, until he exploded to 43% his senior year. Another example of a player greatly improving his jumper with hard work and is now considered one of the better shooters in the league. Hope for Leonard and Morris.

Many complements on you're grammer nazi-ism. Its definately going to improve the board.
