What's new

I feel awful for hayward....that leg break...

Haven't mentioned it here, but ever since Hayward went to the Celtics, he has not looked happy. Anyone else noticed that? I haven't seen him smiled being in a Celtics uniform.

Wonder if something's up with him since he left Utah.

Funny you say that because before tonight, every time I saw him after he left Utah, he was smiling.

Hi everyone. I am on a hiatus from the forums, but just wanted to stop by and say that I'm not even a tiny bit sad. You know, since nobody wants to say it.

Later.

Seeing him with his hand on his chest during the anthem too was particularly hilar.

Sorry for the ankle, Gordon. Would never wish that on you or anyone, but you're still a huge ****ing douche

You know, the more I think about it, the more I'm realizing how ungrateful so many of you are. Just stop and think for a moment about how many Thunder fans wished they could have experienced what we just experienced.

NAOS is ****ing killing it tonight.

Sucks about the injury, but more about when it happened. He's basically on a new team that is trying to establish an identity. By time he gets back, there will be an established identity, and two #3 picks that are playing his position will be entrenched in the starting lineup. This feels like it's probably going to turn into a David Lee situation where the guys behind him take advantage of the opportunity, and the Celtics are forced to dump him for nothing. They already have luxury tax concerns, and have multiple guys due for a payday this summer.

What!? Are you crazy? Hayberd is Ainges prized acquisition. Ainge would never trade away such a key player. /sarcasm

Do you think Danny started offering hayburb to other teams tonight or does he wait until tomorrow out of respect?

Maybe prayer works. I need to now switch it up and start praying for a Jazz championship.

Lol

If this injury means that SLC does boo his *** worse than any other returning jazz player ever, this makes me hate Hayward even more

Hayward didn't deserve this. He's a human being suffering. Yes I am pissed he left us high and dry but I do feel bad for him and hope he gets back to 100%. Good luck G!

Chuck is going to bid 25 K for Hayward's game worn jersey from tonight. You can put that on the list for high bidded weird ****.

I have mixed feelings. First and foremost I feel bad for Hayward and hope he is able to come back and be the player he was before the injury.

That said, holy hell am I glad it's the Celtics and not the Jazz that are on the hook for that contract.

Don't teams take out insurance on contracts?

Assuming you meant "doesn't" I can pretty much guarantee dude's going to get way more cheers than boos when he plays in Utah and rightly so. Sometimes a little class goes a long way.

Real quality human being right here. I'm glad you're here to tell everyone that their ability to feel for someone is really just "virtue signalling" rather than just not being a **** person.
Nice straw-man but you are off the mark here.

Locke said quite a few times that Hayward left for legacy reasons. There is a certain level of irony in play that Hayward could have gotten what he wanted (especially if Mitchell becomes a star) had he stayed with that Jazz. And then there's that Community episode about the darkest timeline; this appears to be the darkest timeline.

Whatever the case, Hayward didn't deserve this and it sucks and I hope he gets back to Allstar form.

He didn't deserve this, he didn't not deserve this. This is a neutral blame event. Players get hurt. Somewhere tonight some high school kid got the same injury... no one cares.

Hayward who?

Fair winds and following seas, my friends.

Hayward is one tough son of the bitch. Just few minutes after injury he was not even crying or grimacing. He will be back playing for sure.
As gruesome as it looked we forget that these guys have best medical care available in the world. He will have surgery in no time and won’t miss any of his paycheck. I would gladly trade my ACL tear and 12 month wait until I get free surgery to Gordons injury and care he will receive.
OT start:
Come to Estonia for treatment; i assume, that 1-2 days in hospital + 10-14 days accomodation and plane tickets it will be still lower than total price in Canada?

It was surreal watching it. The reaction of all the players was so raw.
Felt a bit strange though everyone running for the hills!

He's not a happy go lucky smile kinda guy, so I don't think he's been unhappy going to Boston.
