I mean, he can't just run over guys and dunk the ball every play. Rubio can't magically throw him the ball if he isn't open because he the weak-side defender cut his path off to the rim. The only time I have been disappointed with Gobert this year when he threw the ball away against Minnesota.
Nobody mentioned anything about his offense. He doesn't look NEARLY the same at the defensive end. Even when Beverley drove on him, I had little confidence that Gobert will stop him, since he's been late on help D most possessions, and he's been stopping short on his challenges. Udoh has been easily the superior defender thus far into the season, and I don't think that would have been the case in prior years.
