What's new

Safe to say we draft a PG?

If we don't get Knight @6 we'll take a long look at Jimmer @12 if he's still there.

I'll be ok with either of those two at those spots.

Take a long look at trading back. We can get a backup PG much later in the draft. I like Malcolm Lee from UCLA.

Not safe to say at all. Given how bad we are at the swing positions and our total lack of a true Center (other than Fes, who they probably won't re-sign) it wouldn't surprise me at all if KOC decided to go into the season with Devin Harris and Earl Watson.

Personally, I'll be surprised if we don't draft a point. When it comes to the draft KOC is an in the box thinker. If he does, I hope he trades back to get one as MDAV said, but I might roll the dice on that Selby kid if he was still there.

I would be thrilled with Irving (duh). And would be real happy with Knight. The other 2 don't really excite me unless its with the second of our picks. So taking a PG out side of the first 2 is something that I would say we don't do unless they feel he is the BPA at the time of the pick

I think it's pretty safe to say. The true wing selection this year is pretty awful (the top-ranked is a guy that has a wobbly shot and is at the same time weak? Wow), and there are a lot of questions about the bigs in the draft as well. I think there are a lot of interesting prospects at the point and combos all over the board (besides the four already mentioned, Reggie Jackson is certainly very intriguing, Charles Jenkins, Nolan Smith, Darius Morris, even Andrew Goudelock) in case the Jazz make a move to get position later in the draft somehow.

I really think that they should take Leonard if they stay at 6 and then Trade Bell and a 2nd rounder from 2012 for Flynn. Then use either there pick or the G.S. pick to workout a deal for our future star pg in 2012!

Then think hard about Singleton with the 12th pick. That would be a pretty dept 2-3 (Hayward, Miles, Leonard, Singleton & Evans)

Maybe try and trade Millsap to Denver for Gallenari and there pick. Then use there pick on Reggie Jackson?

You really like Flynn dont you? He was god awful this year. Barely could get off the bench and that was with Ridnour starting.

Just please no Kemba. He's fast, but he should be at 5'10 (172 lbs). He is also a guy who looks to score more than passing.

Sorta agree with this....unless Jimmer is there at 12....KOC pretty much HAS to take him at 12 if he is still around.

Irving
Knight
Walker
Jimmer

i don't get excited about any other position in this year's draft, but pg looks to have some fairly solid choices!

jimmer and walker are solid? Hell no, they can be at best bench contributers. or walker can be a starter in a team with a very good SG but nothing more. Jimmer cant start 5 in any nba team
