We also didn't win starting a center who wasn't defensive minded. Why should we pick Kanter? Every team in the final four of this year's playoffs has a SOLELY defensive minded center who doesnt give two **** about their offensive numbers (Chandler, Noah,Perkins, and to a lesser extent Anthony).
Well I think with Kanter & Favors you can switch them up a bit depending on match-ups.
Favors is tall enough with a wide wingspan and can jump out of the gym so why not play him at C some of the times. He can play the role of a defensive stopper ala Horford. He'll thrive in that role while he's still figuring out how to improve offensively.
Kanter on the other hand has the potential to be a real force offensively. He seems to have that rare combination of inside outside game - think Scola's offensive skills with a jump shot and Marc Gasol's physique.
