Enes Kanter or Brandon Knight?

Personally I would pick Kanter.

It's not everyday you find a skilled offensive minded big with Kanter's size and drive.

OK - you're still missing a future PG - but we still have Harris who KOC seems to be pretty high on. Plus - with Hayward's play making ability, may be pick up Fredette at #12 and see how they mesh. If all else fails we can always pick up another PG next year with GS' pick.

Everyone listen to this guy. Seriously, whenever someone tries to make the case for Knight they say "he's really young." So is Kanter. Kanter's a big, it's the 3rd pick. When is that gonna happen again? You can't find someone like Kanter in the teens but a decent PG? It's far more likely. And it's not like Knight blew anyone away. He hit some clutch shots in the tourney, seems like a good kid but c'mon.

Most sites list Kanter @ 6'10", but I have seen some that list him @ 6'9". If he is actually 6'9" then he can't play center, so I would take Knight or go for a Euro.

I've seen him listed at 6' 11" but we'll know for sure in the next couple days.

I chose Knight on the survey, but only because I've been able to see him play against real competition recently. And he was amazing in the tournament. I do agree that Kanter is a better commodity as a big man if the Jazz can answer some of the question marks surrounding him.

We need more information about Kanter, like can he score on players with length, or is he going to disappear against those players like Boozer did?

If Kanter is a game-changing big, you have to take him, but it all depends on how good he is. The Jazz just had the best PG in the league--a five-year veteran, All-Star and Olympian--and we still couldn't beat teams with talented length and explosive scorers. If the Jazz couldn't win with D.Will, then we're not going to win just because we have Brandon Knight. Even Kobe Bryant couldn't get out of the first round until the Lakers got Pau Gasol. They then went to the Finals three years in a row.

The game-changing big is tougher to get, and no one but Memphis or Minnesota is going to trade that kind of player away. No one but the Lakers are going to recruit that player as a free agent. So a team like the Jazz has to get a player like that in the draft. The Jazz can then pick up Jimmer, Josh Selby, or Reggie Jackson later in the draft and play Harris another couple of years.

The question is--how good is Enes Kanter? How does he fit with Derrick Favors? If he's the real deal then we have to take him, given the chance.

We also didn't win starting a center who wasn't defensive minded. Why should we pick Kanter? Every team in the final four of this year's playoffs has a SOLELY defensive minded center who doesnt give two **** about their offensive numbers (Chandler, Noah,Perkins, and to a lesser extent Anthony).

The decision would be a lot easier if we were at 6. We just pick who is left. Probably between Bismack and Knight.
Now at 3 we have our choice of the 2nd tier guys. They are all available. We can choose the BPA.
Seems like that man is Kanter. If KOC wants Knight he better trade down a few slots and acquire another asset.

Can't wait to watch Kanter and Bismark, Walker and Knight come to Utah to work out for us!

Also each of these teams (excluding Miami, but they are an anomally since they have 2 superstars who can distribute) has elite level PG's. Westbrook and Rose are obviously the new era of PG, taking athleticism to a whole new meaning, but also Kidd who at 38 is still one of the best decision makers in the NBA. We need someone who can run our offense and spread the floor, I think Knight can be that guy in 3 years and he can grow with our team (namely Favors, who is going to need someone to feed the ball to him).
