What's new

Is Favors in the long-term plans at this point?

Rubio has value to us, guys. If he's a bench piece, then he's a good bench piece.

This is honestly looking pretty good to me:
Mitchell/Rubio/Neto
Burks/Hood
Ingles/Sefolosha
Favors/Johnson/Jerebko
Gobert/Favors/Udoh

Two notes, though:
*A rookie wall is going to happen at some point
*Is this Burks real?
Honestly I'm not sure than Jerebko should lose minutes to Johnson. Johnson for all his talents is a ball stopper on a team that seems to thrive on movement.

Joe goes iso when he has a mismatch and iso is effective. And with Q's blessing. He's also effective at moving the ball.
True but I also like the way Jerebko has been playing. I'd almost hate to see him go back to the deep bench. I think I like his fit on this team, But Joe's clutch play down the stretch of games is something that nobody else on this team has yet proven.

is JJ's value redundant now ? He was brought in to be the iceman for a team hell bent on winning as much as we could, now that it's more in development mode should we move him to a team that needs that for the playoffs this year ?

I think Udoh is the one whose minutes should get chopped. If both Gobert and Favors are healthy, they should basically be the only ones playing C. Then you sit Joe on one night of a back-to-back. That's still plenty of minutes for Jerebko.

You mean. . . like the Jazz?

7th seed in the West, with a blossoming star on their hands, a resurgence from two formerly injured - formerly overlooked players, the deepest roster in the league and two of their key players coming back from injuries soon?

I think JJ is a perfect fit for that team if he’s healthy. Sure worked against the Clippers last year. . .

Just for the record - that's Jokic, DeAndre and Cousins Favors dominated for huge stretches in the last week or so... I'm still waiting to hear why exactly he shouldn't have value similar to any of them and especially the last two since they are all expiring and he's younger than both of them.

16.5pts/9.3rbs/2.5ast/1.5blk/0.8stl in 30mpg while shooting 61% from the field and 77% from the FT line and playing great defense for the team since Gobert went down.

The Jazz are likely to lose Favors either in the summer or due to a trade and whoever gets him will be a pretty happy team IMO.

Derrick's averaging 16.8 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 blocks per game since Rudy was injured. That about what he's put up fully healthy and starting in the past. I think this is his ceiling stat wise.

How much will it cost to extend him?
