Hayward re Celts/Jazz game: "I hope we beat them by 40"

Haywood a douche.

Nothing new.

That's all that I care about. Mitchell will send any memory we had of Hayward out the back door, and down the sewer.

It does seem a little tone deaf of someone who has history here to say something like that. Maybe its just marketing WWE style. Maybe this is edgy Hayward. Hot take Hayward. Very exciting. Undercuts and luke warm provocations we have reached peak Hayward.

I do hope he gets interviewed and that a large part of the questions surround DM and what his thoughts were... just overlook that he was ever here.

I wonder if he hated it here.
Hard to say, but don't use what that poster wrote as a basis. He just made that up. It appeared though that his wife might not have liked it. Who knows. Neither ever said such a thing. I think he exited the way he did was because he felt guilty leaving after how well he was received and treated in Utah.

I really think Gordon and his wife absolutely hated Salt Lake. Whether is was DL low balling him a couple of years ago forcing him to go to the market or what I don't know. Maybe it was when the Jazz told his pal Jeremy Evans to move along.

Could be -- actions speak louder than words. But we will never know for sure unless we get some verbal confirmation.

Hayward strikes me as someone who sees life as a challenge. Hes really focused on maximizing and in order to do that everything is transactional. Utah is just not a place to maximize if youre an nba player. There are other things to consider like how well he was treated and valued here. How much investment was put into him, but i think you can push those out of mind with the right mildly sociopathic mentality.

I really think he just wanted a change and that he couldn't break it off as cleanly as he wanted and dragged it out. Almost like the girlfriend you want to break up with but don't have the guts to just do it. I wish he would have just told us he wasn't coming back before the Rubio trade. Be straight with us... he wasn't.

Not sure he's this overcomplex mental case... I think he just wanted to make a change and that he is an awkward dude... so it was awkward. Don't think he's pernicious.

I still hate his *** doe.

Yeah i think you are probably right.

lol your team doesn't even need you, watch out for those bed sores while you try to be relevant

Joe Ingles and Gordon went to dinner last night. I imagine joe just stared him down and silently ate his steak ...and then ate Gordon’s. Grabbed a beer bottle from a stranger... took a swig and then threw it against the wall. Left Hayward with the bill and said “nice catching up with you” before leaving.

Perhaps it will work as motivation for us. And maybe, just maybe, Hayward has sprouted some testicular fortitude. Or he would at least have Boston think so.

Meh. I've lost all ability to care about this thing. He doesn't have enough of a personality for me to be truly invested in hating him. Maybe when he plays next year I'll care a little bit. It would be nice to wreck the Celtics just because their fans are insufferable.

Well said!

Personality of ZERO. I mean, did you ever try reading his blog? I never made it through an entire post. He is so boring!

He tries real hard to be cool. Real hard. That's why he did "the decision" on YouTube and that's why Joe Ingles said he could hear him in the other hotel room blow drying his hair for half an hour. But in the end, the true Gordon Hayward is the awkward kid who recorded "Too Big Yo!" I think going to Boston will get him a few thousand more people looking at his blog, they'll look at it once, see there's nothing there, and move on.
