Jazz Waive Eric Griffin and Sign Erik McCree to Two-way Contract

I liked Griffin. Even moreso than O'Neale when we signed him, too. I wonder if he agreed with a European team.

I just realized the Stars signed Michael Qualls too, who is actually good.

The Stars have been dumpster juice this season with how often Wolters/Bradley have to be w/ the Jazz.

If no other team picks up Eric Griffin on a 2 way contract, can the Jazz just sign him outright to play for the Stars for the rest of the season?

It seems like Griff's last game with Stars he had zero points in 8 minutes of PT. His stats in the DLeague were OK so there is something else afoot here. I think if he resigned with the Stars it would be for far less money than the two way provided so I suspect he's headed to Europe. I wonder if he was chafing a bit when there were games where the Jazz front line really was bad and he wasn't getting a call. There were times when I would say the Jazz front line quit in games.

The guy they replaced Griff with played for the Stars last night ironically against his old DLeague team and the Stars got smoked in SLC.

The Stars have the worst GLeague record of any team by far 3-17. When they were in Boise the complaint from the front office and coaches were that the Jazz sent them stiffs as players and that was the excuse to move them to SLC because attendance was horrible because no one wanted to watch an awful team. It seems like the Jazz philosophy on providing players hasn't changed as the people are rookie contracts and 2 ways not are surrounded by dogs that can't play the game at that level. The Jazz might want to use the term "developmental" as an adjective loosely. Look at all the players on the Jazz roster currently that have played for the Stampede/Stars.

So are you using two accounts now, HT?
