Would you trade ...

Why? That’s a terrible deal for the Jazz. None of those guys moves the needle towards contending at all. There has to be a better way to build around Rudy and Donovan than taking on the Lakers trash and wrecking our future cap space.
Jazz wouldn't be wrecking future cap space. It would be up to them whether they wanted to re-sign/match on Nance and Randle.

I think Nance and Clarkson could actually be nice pieces for this team.

Without a doubt he is their most unavailable player (when considering his fit on a super-team [SUPER GREAT FIT], that his salary is practically nothing, and that he is probably already their best player).
You underestimate the value of cap space. The Bulls almost traded Jordan so they could clear Bill Wennington’s contract but the other team didn’t want to compromise their cap flexibility.

I disagree

I am a big fan of the offense that Clarkson brings in off the bench. I would rather have Clarkson as the 6th man than Burks.

Nance is a a super athletic face up 4 that has a growing jump shooting game

I think the Jazz developmental staff could do wonders for Randle and he could be the missing piece at the 4

I still don't think Randle fits on this team or really very much in the modern NBA as he currently is.

I also think his name carries a premium and would require more money to keep.

I see more promise in Nance.

Randle the missing piece ? If he could shoot

them crazy eyes .. yikes

I thought Nance shot more threes, whoops.

Not terribly interested in either, then.

Ingram/Kuzma or bust imho. If we are going to bless the Lakers with a chance at LeBron, it should come with a young, exciting draft pick. That's it. Anything short of that is a waste of time.

The Lakers only would trade players to dump salary. But we aren't doing that for the likes of randle and nance. No way. No chance.

I think we are the front runner when Nikola Mirotic becomes available. He has a no trade clause so if he doesn't like the situation he can nix the deal... will suppress his trade value a bit. I think Chicago will absolutely move him before the deadline and I'd like to have him. As I have read about him I think he has a bit of a different personality that may rub some the wrong way, but I think he's one of those guys that if you make sure he feels valued that he will be be just fine.

Having a defined role and a starting spot on a good team I think would help him have sustained success.

As far as trade assets I would offer a combo of expirings and our second round pick. We could send Favs+Jonas+2nd for Mirotic for example. Both Jonas an Niko have an unguaranteed 2nd year... this way we give them some of the contract fodder they may need to swing a draft night deal.

Predicting trades in the NBA is tough but I think this one has a legit shot at happening. Not a ton of teams have the expirings to match Niko's contract and I don't see anyone willing to pony up a first for him.

I like mirotic a lot and think he would do well in our system.

I also would love to trade favors to Milwaukee for Malcom Brogdon

I'm starting to think more and more that this is our best trade target outside of draft picks. Teletovic seems to play a lot like Mitrovic but older and not quite as good. He was hitting 47% of his threes on 4.5 attempts a game this season prior to getting some work done on his knee.

Favors for Brogdon, Teletovic and a 2nd seems like a pretty fair deal.

I’d love to bring Mirotic to Utah. Think he’d be an excellent addition next to Gobert. Not really interested in Brogdon though. Just don’t see a ton of upside with him. If the Jazz are going to trade Favors, I’d hope they can get a better asset back than Brogdon.

... Favors, Hood, Jerebko for Jabari Parker & John Henson?

Would the Bucks?

(Joe Johnson & Teletovic could also be easily thrown in).

Maybe this is a stupid idea and there'd certainly be some high-stakes gambling going on here with all the FAs & injury histories involved. But here's my reasoning:

For Jazz: get rid of positional overlap (Favors/Gobert); get a true 2nd scorer.
For Bucks: get rid of positional overlap (Giannis & Jabari both best as playmaking 4); perhaps create a more rounded lineup that complements Giannis/Bledsoe/Middleton; a bit more financial flexibility

I would do almost anything to trade Favors. The only Favors he ever did for us were the embarrassing kind. The kind you keep hidden from friends and families until you and your 132 cousins decide to come forward all at the same time, kind of Favors.
The only thing I wouldn't do is trade him and hood away for a guy that every time he falls on his ***, his hole splits up his backside. Oh, and pay him all star money to be the coolest "what if" sitting on the bench of Utah. I could see the free agents flocking to SLC now, just to be apart of that group. We're running a basketball team not a "rehab your lady parts" center. Get out of my face. Your breath stinks worse than your ideas.

Is there any current bottom 7 team that would consider trading their first rounder. Forget the cost at this point - would any team make their pick available?

wouldn't imagine any of the bottom dwellars wanting to give up their draft pick this year

I don't think any team wants to give up a high draft pick, but do we think any of them would be willing to give it up for the right price?

Does a package of Hood, Favors, taking back a bad contract and one of our future lottery protected picks move the needle?
