What's new

Kemba Walker

Agreed, which is the only reason I think Charlotte might be ok with it. If Donovan and Kemba go down for a month, though...
I mean, I think a lotto pick is about as good as the Hornets can get, especially when they have to include Marvin's contract.

The Jazz aren't trading Ricky Rubio. Which is fine because they shouldn't.

I don't see Kemba ending up here for multiple reasons.

The Hornets have multiple unmovable contracts. So nobody is getting Kemba unless they take atleast one of the craptastic deals back as well.

Howard 1 yr 23 million
Batum 3 yrs 25 million
Marvin Williams 2 yrs 15 million
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 2 yrs 13 million
Cody Zeller 3 yrs 14 million

The only one that interests me is Zeller, but the Jazz have Gobert, so no. Shouldn't pay 14 million per for a back-up center.
This is why I hate the "you can always just move them later" argument when duscussing signing guys to big deals. It ain't always that easy. What a mess lol

You know what, looking at Marvin's season, I might actually just do that deal w/o giving a damn about Mirotic.

Marvin having a damn good season as a 5th option. If we get Kemba, there isnt really going to be a lot of shots leftover between Mitchell/Kemba and them feeding Gobert. Ingles/Marvin would be spacing the **** out the floor and we'd have two elite playmakers and Gobert. Kemba undersized and he probably suffers a bit defensively from it, but he tries and can get into people on that end from what I can tell.

I got a boner thinking about it.

Oh, and Lamb is nice.

I mean, I think most of Charlotte's are movable besides Batum and that was just a wild overpay plus he got killed by injuries.

Not a fan. Too small and too ball dominant. His lifetime TS of .525 suck ***, and he'll be wanting a hideous amount of money in 2019.

What's the point of using career numbers when there is a pretty clear massive development jump from his 4th to 5th year?

And the Jazz's entire problem currently is they have one player who can really create their own offense and offense for others. The Jazz can definitely take another high usage player next to Mitchell, especially if your other 3 starters are guys like Williams, Ingles, and Gobert. None of those dudes are creating their own shots.

Mirotic is nice, but there is a really small sample size of him being a good volume scorer and he can't create his own offense like Kemba can.

The height thing. Yeah, it's not ideal, but you cant be too picky. Kemba has pretty much solved his height issues for the most part. It's not like we have to worry about him scoring or creating.

It all comes down to if he communicates that he is willing to sign long-term (if both sides are down for Pelton's offer).

YEah, and the Jazz will have a lot of money to spend in 2019. I mean, anyone who plays well in Utah is going to want money. If we trade for Mirotic and he plays like he has been, he is going to want a **** ton of money.

Kemba, Williams, and Kidd-Gilchrist
for
Burks, Hood, Rubio and Thabo

Charlotte clears off $27 million for 2019 and get Hood.

We get three players we can use.
