Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Come on, we all know how this really ends. Jazz draft about 10th and taken Miles Bridges or Mikal Bridges.

I’m okay with that... both guys will be rotation players on their rookie deals.

Michael Porter Jr can go #1, he's gonna be the heavy favorite to win ROY too.... A team like the Kings could do it.. He's not gonna be out of commission til the draft.. questions about his health will be answered by then.

I still standby saying that MP Jr is better than Jayson Tatum... Who was obviously good enough to go #1...

I'd be okay with either Bridges. But yeah, I wouldn't have Knox in my top 10, nor do I expect the Jazz to land outside the top 10, so he's pretty irrelevant to me.

Yep. The NBA loves athleticism and length. Not to mention shooting, which he'll look good doing in an empty gym. Just takes one team to get enamored with what he brings in a workout.

Even more than all that, the NBA loves '1st option scorers' and thats what Porter Jr is, IN SPECTACULAR FASHION, and why he could go #1 easily... and why he's gonna be the favorite to win ROY..

Michael Porter Jr is a way better prospect than Donovan Mitchell... if he lands in Utah Mitchell will almost immediately be displaced to 2nd gun to Porter Jr..

People here trying to marginalize his talent are talking way out of their depth...

Those marginalize -rs are quick to forget that when MP Jr and Trae Young played together MP Jr was so dominant that Trae Young's talent was often marginalized as a consequence...

I like him better than Tatum and Ingram. But I do think the injury makes him a risk, and most GMs will opt to take other high-potential prospects who aren't as risky (Ayton, Bagley, etc.)

The thing is tho he's gonna be ready to workout, which means he's gonna blow everyone away...

He's 6'10 and his shooting mechanics are perfect...

HE's like Karl Towns in the sense that there's no warts to be found in his workouts, only the opposite will occur, he's just gonna leave the whole room thoroughly impressed...

The risk i'm concerned about with Porter jr is the risk of passing on him.. It vastly outweighs the injury risks..

I watched a full game of Ayton last weekend(or the one before that) and I was not impressed. I'm not sure his playstyle translates to the pros and as of right now he doesn't seem to have the skill level to make his playstyle translateable Cousins style. If I'm sitting at the top of the draft I'd have him perform 3on3 against other top tier talent in case he's interested in going earlier than predicted. Otherwise it's a hard pass and I take the guy whose skillset is timeless. That would be Doncic, Bagley, Porter...Not sure what to make of Bamba. His feel for the game is shaky at best and that's concerning. Haven't watched Jaren Jackson Jr. at all

Michael Porter was never considered *that* athletic. Prior to the injury a lot of people where questioning if his athleticism as a 3 was that good.

Not calling him unathletic, but his athleticism isnt going to blow anyone away. He isnt Andrew Wiggins in that regard. No one is taking him first, I'm 100% confident in that.
