Crazy trade?

Milwaukee may like Jefferson or Millsap + 12 for Bogut. Al and Sap would both work well paired up with the longer, defensive minded Sanders in the front court.
They would want us to take back one of their long term overpaid scrubs though (Salmons, Maggette, or Gooden), but the Jazz would no longer have to search for that elusive center. Obviously the deal could be tweaked

I'm not sure why Milwaukee overpaid all those guys, but it didn't work and they need to start rebuilding. The Jazz and Bucks make pretty good trading partners I think.

I'll bet you $1000 we wouldn't miss Jefferson.

It is intriguing to think about a trade that goes something like this:

EDIT:
UTAH trades: Jefferson + #12 + CJ + Tomic
UTAH receives: Bogut + #40

MIL trades: Bogut + #10 + #40
MIL receives: Jefferson + #5 + Tomic

TOR trades: #5
TOR receives: #10 + #12 + CJ

(could throw essentially the same offer to WASH).

I LOVE this for the Jazz. Anytime you're parlaying proven garbage (Jefferson is not a winner, Miles is a tard) and crapshoot assets (#12 in any draft is a gamble, Tomic might not ever come over and he probably shouldn't) for a GREAT player, you ****ing win.

I don't like Bogut's injury problems, but that's usually what you're in store for when you have someone as big as Bogut and willing to put his body on the line. But besides meaning he plays the game with a purer intention (taking charges might be the least sexy, least selfish thing a player can do), those injuries mean he might be available.

I don't think the Bucks do it for the exact reasons a smart Jazz fan would. But yes, I do it 8 days a week. I'm also a big Millsap fan, but if they'd rather have him for whatever reason, I'd do it. Hell, I might even do BOTH if it came down to it. Having Favors and Bogut as a starting point for your bigs is phenomenal even if your 3rd big isn't very good, but 3rd bigs are a lot easier to find.

Don't see how either Bucks or Raps let Jazz get Bogut and keep the #3.
One of them will want that #3 pick.

Toronto Raptors. Isn't that new proposed trade form NAOS?

Ha! I DID miss something then. I skimmed the proposal.

Yeah, I don't know. Milwaukee gets better pieces than I thought, but more pieces in a trade = less likelihood.

We need to draft Kanter and see what teams will give up for him. If Knight's there three spots later, Washington's #6 and the #18 or a future 1st is solid. If no one wants to trade, we picked the BPA regardless.

Cool, it seems like a trade that could work for all parties. I think it's pretty clear that MIL comes out good in this (if they are rebuilding). Biyombo at 5 could re-anchor their defense and Al could help them pick up there scoring. I think TOR needs more flexible players without taking on too much risk (I think they're at least another year from hitting rock bottom), so players like Burks, and Hamilton or Singleton plus C.J. Miles give them some low-cost flexibility.

And, since Bronco70 brought it up, it would be sweet for some people on this board if the Jazz used the "Jimmer pick" to acquire a former Ute.

Since I'm having fun with this, imagine adding this trade to the Bogut deal:

UTAH trades: Harris + future 2nd rounder
POR trades: Matthews + Babbitt

Plus, Jazz select Shelvin Mack with the #40 acquired from MIL (above)

DEPTH CHART:
Watson/Mack (I know, weak here... but next year we nab our PG. Plus, I like Watson and there are plenty offensive weapons in the first squad)
Hayward/Matthews
DWilliams (#3)/Babbitt
Favors/Millsap
Bogut/Elson

I doubt Portland and Utah are even on speaking terms. They probably have max offers already drawn up for Hayward and Favors.
