Utah Trade Deadline Discussion

Or you'd trade Hood for a pick and get Fournier for cap relief and be better off.

I think the durability and consistency issues are a bigger concern than his level of play. He may also get more than Evan and likely commands a 4 year deal where Evan's would have 3 years left. Would you rather have Evan for 3/51 or Hood for 4/60?

Evan is a better player in a worse situation. How much better is up for debate, but saying hood is better is just ignoring reality. Hood might (not a given either) have a higher ceiling, but he also has a higher chance of injury/DNP or injury/ineffective. Your points are all also valid. I'm more lukewarm on Fournier than I was earlier in the year. But under the right conditions I think he'd be a nice fit in the system. System fit is important. That's why *Hill looked amazing here and is meh in other spots. Fournier's skills all match what the Jazz do offensively.

It's reported that the Jazz don't have great interest in Fournier either way so probably a non issue.

lol

Udoh has some crazy on/off numbers and positively impacts the game a ton. Favs is more skilled, but his skills don't always translate into positive team play in the same way . . . and their attitudes in regard to starting/coming off the bench I think I'll go with Udoh.

The stats say Fournier is a better player right now. They are the same age. Fournier definitely has a worse cast around him. It won't hurt my feelings if you can argue your point logically, bruh. You think I'm wrong then prove it with your words and ideas.
Uhh, again, no. I've argued this point multiple times so really don't feel like rehashing it.

The thing that gives me pause on trading Rodney is the deal Lou got. If the market is that cool on wing players there's a chance Hood can't get a very nice deal in FA. Hood on a bargain deal is a nice proposition. Glad I don't have to forecast the market there.

You've argued incorrectly then. Fournier has a higher TS% (considerably higher), better BPM, WS (on a worse team which is pretty amazing), and VORP. He's just better. He has better offensive and defensive numbers on a team without Rudy Gobert to help those numbers. He fits better in the system. He's an elite spot up player. The list goes on and on and on.

There is a lot more context that you are ignoring.
