What's new

San Antonio Spurs @ Utah Jazz - Mon. Feb 12th 7pm MST

The Don, AKA the crime boss, kingpin, etc., took over at the end and was clutch. He's not 'stat padding.' As numerous former professional basketball players have said, he has the ability to take over a game and he did just that. Absolutely farcical and comical that people are hating on DM for this freaking WIN.

I agree it was a bad shooting night but in the end the kid made all the clutch shots. People don't remember but back in 1998 game six when Jordan pushed off. He was something like 9-26. However, all everyone remembers is him making the winning shot. There is no denying that DM stepped up when it counted which average players rarely do that. So his poor shooting is a concern we can live with it when he does other things and makes the clutch shots to win the game.

The great performances of Ingles, favors and Gobert is what won utah this game, not mitchell's poor shooting.
Most of the credit for our winning streak should goes to these guys.

DM jacked up 73 shots the last 3 games for an inefficient 77 points. He is a selfish chucker who wants to win ROY. If Ingles and Favors did not step up in the last few games, we would have lost a least half of those games.

What a gutsy thrilling win. We were dead tired and pulled through. So proud of the team.

Crowder is a really good fit. Ingles playing out of his mind. Royce making me eat my words every game.
DM star ROY. Favors shutting up the doubters (me included), Gobert huge impact since return, Neto improvement.

A month ago we were all depressed talking about the lottery. Now we are all dreaming of a run in the playoffs.

BELIEVE!!!!!!!

Ingles, favors and Gobert actually won the game for us.

His efficiency is worrisome but without his 13 “chucker” points in the 4th, San Antonio runs away with this game.

So we're the 4th team in the Popovich era to beat the Spurs after being down 13 in the 4th. My god.

Most impressive win of the season.

Great win but I wonder how many of those games in the pop era where against his b team. This was a spurs team no where near full strength.

I’m more impressed by when we beat the warriors by the most points of any team since they got Durant.

you can also say that without his woeful shooting in the 1st 3 quarters, jazz would have wrapped up the game before the 4th qaurter even started

Also, it was pretty baller that Gobert took a jumper and made it what was practically crunch time.

The next shot was less baller since he missed it pretty badly, but still kind of baller he wanted to take it.

Plus his fast break point guard handles and dish to jingles for the 3

Yes, I am a jazz fan, but I can't stand selfish stat padding chucker like Mitchell. Mitchell is obviously playing for the accolade of ROY right now, hence his blatant chuckings.

We need more unselfish players who play for the team like Ingles and Exum.

We need better posters

Really? The hot hand is real. I know someone did a study a while back trying to disprove it, but that was mostly because players who become hot typically become prone to taking dumber shots as "heat checks".

Ah, so it's unfalsifiable, but you totally know it's real. I assume you feel it in your heart?

I think today was our best win of the year. We were off, tired, on a b2b, refs were garbage and Spurs are great in that situation (regardless of personnel).

We just decided we werent going to lose and dug really deep to get that win, we come up with play after play.

"Best win of the year" is getting thrown around a lot lately which is great. "We were off" makes it not so imo. Gritty as hell to be sure though.
