Following Potential 2018 Draftees

it is crazy that everybody is sleeping on Jerome Robinson. Another ridiculous performance today - 29 pts on 11-15, 5-8. that comes on the heels of 27 on 11-18, 29 on 10-15 and 46 on 15-23 FGs. but he's only doing it in perhaps the best conference in college basketball. TS% in ACC play is 71%. absolutely unreal.

Talented scorer. Yeah he's getting slept on.

the crazy thing is that miami game has been just an average game for him as of late. he lets the game come to him, he doesn't settle for threes despite shooting 47% from distance, he uses the entire court, takes guys off the bounce, will post up, gets all the way to the rim and he defends. mostly, he just doesn't miss very often when he shoots - that's a nice skill to have in basketball.

Robinson can play some point also. He could play interchangeably with Mitchell in the backcourt, especially if we have someone like Ingles facilitating.

Robert Williams. I think he's comparable as a prospect to Wendell Carter, just doesn't shoot the 3 yet. I think he goes end of the lottery or maybe 15 or 16, like Bam Adebayo last year.

1. Williams is nothing like Carter
2. Williams is way better than Bam

The choice is now up to Favors, and if I had to bet, I'd bet the field rather than him re-signing with the Jazz. In any case, with free agency taking place after the draft, the Jazz will probably draft a big with one of their picks. With Joe Johnson gone and Jerebko on a one-year deal, it makes sense to get a bigger forward who can play the 4. Bradley and Udoh are really 5s.

Also, looking at our projected draft range, an argument can be made for Robert Williams and Daniel Gafford as BPA. I think the Jazz would have to really fall in love with someone to pass on one of those guys. Personally, I'm really curious about Bonga.

One or more of the guys you mention should be available in the 2nd round.
Jazz, under basically no circumstance, should draft Williams or Gafford.

He has the measurables to be Demar DeRozan, imo. For him, it's about shooting, ball movement and playing within an offense. I wouldn't judge him entirely on what UK is doing. The natural talent is there. Brooklyn likes him, and so some mocks have him going there in the 20s.
He couldn't even get a promise in the first round last year. He hasnt improved his stock. The guy is trash juice. I wouldn't even take him in the 2nd round. This year's draft is shaping up (hard to tell until people actually declare of course) to have a much deeper wing pool.

He is the 2nd coming of Archie Goodwin. A guy people thought had talent, then went to UK and played on one of Cal's worst teams ever. It then turns out he actually sucked and did nothing in the NBA.

Oh, and I watched Belmont for the first time this year during the All-Star contest. Dylan Windler has 36 and 20. It was a pretty dominant performance. I hope they make the NCAA Tourney this year. He could be the next NBA Belmont player.

dang. nice find. small college guys are always real wildcards, but seems like he'd be worth a look in the second.
