Donovan Mitchell All Star Weekend Thread

I couldn't agree more. Has anyone seen his dad at any events?
I’m pretty sure his dad is in the picture with Greg Miller and Steve Starks and everyone. I think Donovan’s dad is always there to support but is probably busy a lot with the Mets and Donovan makes it a point to give everything he can to his mother and sister.

Here’s an interview with his dad from when he was at Louisville

Yup. And I'm entitled to say he looked like a jerk last night for no good reason. Definitely lowered my opinion of him. He doesn't know or care, but whatever.

Someone posted their opinion on a subjective dunk competition so my opinion is now lower of that person and I'll keep name calling him to get my point across, you know, cause this is class.

Except that's not what I was saying. Okur is a prominent public figure with ties, off and on, with the Jazz organization. His responsibilities are not the same as a random message board fan like me. I don't think people shouldn't be critical of our team or of players on the team. I do think we should think carefully about how expressing those opinions says a lot about who we personally are.
He doesnt have responsibilities. He doesnt work for the Jazz anymore. He last worked for the Suns. The Jazz havent wanted him around for a while, he doesnt have to schmooze up to the new rookie.

I like showing up to people's birthday parties and telling them how boring they are.

When my friend earned her PhD I made sure to tweet after the graduation ceremony how weak the class of '17 was.

When my daughter shows me a picture she colored I like to tell it like it is, "looks like a five-year-old drew that. Unimpressive."

He doesn't have to do anything. So what? Anyone can make themselves look like an *** if they want. And sometimes they'll get criticized for it.

Equating sporting events or competitions to birthday parties is poor at best. There are many sporting competitions and sporting events that have been boring and there will be many more.

Your second point is even worse. Things should be judged accordingly. Your daughter is 5, you shouldn't tell her drawings suck. NBA players are professional athletes and some of the most athletic people in the world. They will be judged accordingly, guy...

Lol. Ok bro. Someone posted their opinion on a tweet someone posted about a subjective dunk competition so my opinion is now lower of that person and I'll keep name calling him to get my point across, you know, cause this is class.

Lastly, I think it says more about a person, in a negative way, to say your opinion is lower of someone because they said the dunk contest was boring than the person saying it was boring.

That's pretty damn petty to think less of someone. I bet you're a riot to get along with in your family.

Huh. Sounds pretty PC, the way you think we should treat little kids. Snowflake.
