Following Potential 2018 Draftees

He is sharmin soft.

Write-up is really, really old. He was supposed to be a sure-fire lotto pick after a year or two at KU but floundered until this season. Middle of the second round is about right. I'm not sure he's gained an ounce since college. His ceiling looks like a high-volume 3 rotation wing, that's about it.

Kris Wilkes showing a bit of life.
6'8", decent tools, underdeveloped physically, not really explosive, but decent all-around game. Maybe comes into play around 20.

Troy Brown and Kris Wilkes. Brown is a better passer, rebounder, defender and aggressor. Kris Wilkes looks to be a smooth and somewhat reliable shooter, possibly a Caris Levert type.

I like Troy Brown for the Jazz just outside the lottery, but he may be gone by 15 or 16. I think he's not far behind Mikal Bridges as a prospect as an 18 year-old freshman. He and Lonnie Walker could both end up going in the lottery.

I wasn't posting but yes I was a fan. I wanted him on the Jazz after his time with Maccabi Tel Aviv. My first experience with him was in the summer of 2009 when he played for the Warrior's summer league team. He played PF for them that summer with Curry and Anthony Morrow.

My boy Shamet with a masterful first half at Cincinnati, team held on in the second half for a tough win. Watching the baby so didn't get to watch too closely, but I really like how he looks in the PnR.

Cy's point remains. literally every fan other than you (giving you the benefit of the doubt) would have said the same about Ingles.

How is Ingles even remotely comparable to Williams-Goss?

Because Joe Ingles flew under the radar, now every washout is going to end up being successful? Ingles is the exception to the rule, so it makes no sense to use the exception as some sort of applicable comparison. Maybe if he had been cut by Doc Rivers, but dude got cut by Quin Snyder. I wouldn't be holding your breath for him to turn into the next Jingles, despite being crowned Utah's best point guard by Zag fans as soon as he was drafted.

My favorite in our range:

THe shot looks pure. The %s are not amazing but it looks too good to not translate well to the league IMO.

He's young, it's pretty much impossible to say he is or isn't a NBA player at this point. That's the comparison.

New DX mock:

They project the Jazz to end up with the 19th pick:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Kentucky
Freshman
PG/SG

The Jazz might look for a versatile guard who can operate in different lineups without dominating the ball alongside Donovan Mitchell.

Gilgeous-Alexander has the size, length, multipositional defensive versatility and unselfishness needed to operate as a role player alongside a variety of different types of guards and wings.

Starting salary: $2,231,760
