I'd be fine for 3-4 mil per, but I'm sure his market value is higher than that so I voted just simply a "no"

We really need all the help we can on defense. He's getting older but he still is an effective defender. Tony Allen is a terrible offensive player, but they still succeed when he is on the floor because his defense. No AK can't lock it down like Allen, but AK is also a better offensive player. But then again, can he stay healthy? Ah I'm talking myself in and out of it, I just don't know. Draft Singleton!

And seriously if Utah drafted Knight and Singleton, while resigning AK for 3-4 yrs 18-24 million. That seriously puts Utah in a great spot, talent wise! And they would then have a deep bench with a defensive stopper.

Harris Knight
Hayward Miles
AK Singleton
Favors Millsap
Jefferson OKur

Bell, Evans and a resigned Fez. Thats a pretty deep team, that would give anybody trouble!! And I like it to because Harris tutors Knight, Ak tutors Singleton. Just enough Vets with a ton of Youth!

i might be the only one but i don't want our future to be build around harris and jefferson. they get over 20 millions together / year.

urent the only one in this case
they are overpaid and they are just fake allstars which cant carry any team to a very good level, they can be stars in a playoff team at best

1) Why do the Jazz want to deal with this headache anymore than it has already had to?
2) What is AK going to bring to a team as the team begins to bring in a lot of young players that need minutes and he's moving past 30?
3) What positive impact does AK bring to a locker-room? He doesn't have a passion for the game and doesn't show a work-ethic for it either. If I'm bringing in veterans to a rebuilding team (that's what this is), I'm bringing them in to act as a mentor on how to play the game and what to do off the court. Hoisting up wild shots with half the shot clock left when you can't shoot doesn't come to mind as something I want to impart. Or disappearing for weeks at a time. Or planning vacations during the playoffs that either conflict with a TBA schedule, or you have to skip practice to figure out your visa. Or having a WoW character whose impact more resembles how you USED to impact your profession and on a dubious timescale in that regard, and a idiotic back-piece to match. Or generally shrinking when any kind of adversity presents itself.

Maybe you stick with AK if the team hadn't been blown up, but it's beyond incomprehensible given the context now. If we're bringing in vets for the VET MINIMUM, I'd rather see Price and Collins brought back before AK. BY FAR. At least they can wave towels and show enthusiasm for their team when they don't get their way and can make your practices better.

So you can probably guess my answer. Even if he played for free.

i dont think ak is as bad as u exaggrate. Well he may not be the most hardworking guy ever but i have seen him very dedicated when he carried russia to european championship. After deron and boozer left, and with the guilty feeling of having his overloaded contract compensated by utah for yrs, he may feel he owes us something and play more dedicated. Of course this is a hypothesis, but i dont argue his talents with anyone. I believe young kids can learn something from ak, and i dont really like to see all vets return but i think AK would worth, at least i hope so

I know AK said he would play for less, but he will easily get 7 to 9 from other teams. I just can't believe AK would stay for the mid-level.

Yes at the right price.

Hell no. He has turned into a cancer for our team, and why would we want that kind of player to take minutes away from our young guys like Hayward and the likely wing we will pick at 12? We need to build a tough team and with AK on the roster that will hinder development and set a bad example as far as work ethic and motivation.
