We are talking about law and what his punishment should be based on the letter of hte law. It's not based off your feelings or assumptions. He’s lost any benefit of the doubt.

Probably the same amount of times I've been caught speeding vs speeding and not getting caught. It's a lot.It was the first time in 14, or in 10 years if you count the time he attempted to drive. How do you know he has done it and not got caught in those 10 years?
The thing tho, is getting a DUI and being an alcoholic arent necessarily connected. You can get a DUI from just drinking once a year.
He might be an alcoholic though. I don''t know the guy personally.
I think you're the only one talking about that. Pretty sure the rest of us are talking about the moralistic and societal ramifications of habitual drunk-driving.We are talking about law and what his punishment should be based on the letter of hte law. Well you wouldn't be posting this had he killed someone, himself, or seriously injured someone. Fact of the matter is he's damned lucky nothing has happened, but 4 damn dui's says he hasn't learned **** and doesn't care too, at the very least he need s to stew in jail for a month or two and have his license revoked, get that scumbag off the roads for hellsakes!!Are the douchebags around here ready to get off their soapbox? Jesus Christo.
The king of the douchebags has spoken. Are the douchebags around here ready to get off their soapbox? Jesus Christo.
lol.
Lol wut. At no point has the focus of this conversation been about what his punishment should be. It’s been about his wrongdoings, and our perceptions of him.
I counted 4 people discussing how he should be put in jail on the first page, not including me.I think you're the only one talking about that. Pretty sure the rest of us are talking about the moralistic and societal ramifications of habitual drunk-driving.
Age literately doesnt matter in any sense in drunk driving. The crime is the same regardless of age. Also, and this hasn’t been mentioned enough here. Age matters. This wasn’t some 22 year old kid. Or some 25 year old who feels he has nothing to lose despite having multiple incidents.
Dude is a grown *** 39 year old man.

Did I say it?
You've liked post calling for him to be locked up. You've also spread false information regarding his offenses.
That's true. But you would hope that a father with children (I believe Spence has a son) would have more maturity and awareness of possible consequences of his actions than, say, a college student getting drunk at a party. That he didn't care is cause for concern. Maybe it's just me, but if I planned on getting drunk, I'd call Uber or make sure someone in my company was the designated driver. I value others' lives (and my own) too much to take the chance of killing or injuring someone else or myself by driving impaired. And even if I didn't have an accident, the consequences of being arrested and convicted of DUI are pretty onerous. Except, apparently, the consequences haven't been severe enough to convince Spencer to not drive while under the influence.Age literately doesnt matter in any sense in drunk driving. The crime is the same regardless of age.
He had two DUIs in 2004, a failure to appear in court from one of those, and a pled down DUI. He's had two DUIs prior to this most recent one and now a third. He has only been convicted of two DUI's (and probably a third upcoming). You know what it sounds like when you say 5 DUI arrest. It might be semantics to you, but in a thread where people are discussing appropriate jail time, details matter. You seem to be arguing with me just for some vendetta against me.Rofl. Oh no, I liked a post!
Meanwhile, at no point, did I provide false information about his offenses. He got a 5th DUI (by the cops)...it was pled down in a court of law.
Keep arguing though because, hey, that’s what you do.
The law is pretty clear here. But your passion is... inspiring?Well you wouldn't be posting this had he killed someone, himself, or seriously injured someone.
