Possible move into playoff position - Jazz at Grizzlies - 3/9/2018 6:00 pm MST

I think I am more impressed with Gobert's defense more than ever. It doesn't feel like he is necessarily blocking as many shots or even contesting as many (even though I'm sure he is). But there are so many players who are taking awkward shots, or long twos or making extra passes and not attacking the rim. The suffication is unrelenting.

Meanwhile I'm still in the waiting room at the doctors office. I have been here for 2 hours.
Our Healthcare system is a joke.
I have an ear infection and my eardrum has ruptured and is draining. I have had this happen many times before and know that I just need a prescription of antibiotics (amoxicicillan) so I called and asked if they could just prescribe me the antibiotics but they said I have to see a doctor first. So now have to pay a 25 dollar co pay and I'm sure once I see the doctor they will just prescribe me the antibiotics anyway. But this way this get to waste a bunch of my time and get an extra 25 dollars that I can't afford from me.
Plus I have to be up for work at 5 am tomorrow so this is cutting into my sleep and my pharmacy is closed now so I won't be able to get my prescription until tomorrow now.
What a joke.
Just imagine Canada. You'd maybe get a doctor visit next week if your lucky.

Man that is rough.
I'm no socialist, but I think Australia has a pretty fair system (single payer).

But we too would have to go see a Dr before getting antibiotics. The two hour wait is huge. But I guess its late at night there, so the wait could be similar here in Australia.

You had a rough run of it. Kidney stone, ear infections etc.

Waiting in Dr's waiting areas when feeling **** is not one of life's highlights.

What an ugly, ugly game. Not a joy to watch at all. Damn Mitchell was dreadful shooting. Thankfully he at least had some passes to make up for it. If I were him I'd burn this game film and never think about it again.

I only watched a little bit... saw the score but I’m going to go ahead and delete the recording... there are some things you can’t unsee.

Great game for Crowder. 22 points, 7/12 FG, 6/11 from 3. Probably too many three pointers taken but he was making them. Great game for Jingles as well. Rudy and Donovan both struggled and we still won.
What? You want him taking 2's? Probably too few shots overall. He had the hot hand. Gobert rarely has decent games against Gasol offensively. IMO, Jazz just tried to force it into Rudy too much. And he was Fumbleina tonight. Sometimes Gobert just drives me crazy when he tries to create shots.

It may have been an ugly game, but the Jazz made their shots and defended down the stretch. This was a game that could have turned into a loss earlier in the season.

I watched the first half and then left to go to the doctor and now I have like a hour wait to be seen.
Was planning to watch the rest later but judging from the comments in this thread I don't think I will watch this one.

Yeah don't bother. Both look like teams trying to out-tank each other.

Same thing applies in California. Months long wait to see the doctor and then have to pay the 5000 deductible before a damn thing is covered.

Ok how do I turn off the mother****ing multi quote

$25 co-pay and cheap antibiotics and the healthcare system is a joke? Some countries do let pharmacists have more authority. Maybe Mexico? But antibiotics, in particular, are more tightly controlled because overuse leads to bacteria that become resistant.

Here in Canada you could’ve gone to Emerg with a purulent ear infection with a shorter wait time

Lebron got his panties in a twist because someone leaked a rumor he was interested in going to Philly. Wouldn't be surprised if he wants to hop on the Simmons and Embiid bandwagon. He gone.

Might be good for the Jazz, though. Love will be on the market. There's no way the Cavs would want him taking up cap space in a rebuild. I'm sure being around his old pal Ricky and the state he loves during the off-season would help with his anxiety.

It’s honestly sad seeing how strong healthcare propaganda is in the United States. This **** is simply untrue
Is it better now? My grandmother used to live with my aunt/uncle for as long as she could each year because healthcare was so much better and more accessible in the US than Canada. This was some time ago and she had to return to Canada for a certain amount of months each year.

I will say HC in the US has worsened since the ACA. Of course, it has been headed in a downward spiral with out of control illegal immigration. Illegals use ER's as their primary care physicians since they can't be turned away. Hospitals and physicians have to write off a lot of care, which pushes up the cost for those who they can go after for payment and charges to insurance companies.

I briefly worked for a physician's group that primarily provided staffing for ER's. Their collectible percentage for patients was 30%. Now some of that was the difference between gross billing and allowable fees. But it was alarming how much they had to write off as uncollectable services.

Just wow. Nigerians wish they had it this "bad".

Was close until 2:40 left, then Denver went on a 9-2 run to close it out.

In other LA news, the Clips are giving the Cavs a caning.
Also, Rodney Hood played 7 scoreless minutes before exiting with a lower back strain and will not return.

America is among the worst in the developed world

There’s a couple stories like this that are shared anecdotally and publicized on the media— but this is very much rare & almost never seen. You only really ever encounter this for dental care where immigrated Canadians will go to poorer countries to get dental work done— but that’s because dental work isn’t covered under healthcare

Trust me, it was ******** before the ACA. It’ll be ******** until it’s Medicare4All. I’m a medical student, and I’ve lived in Canada for basically my whole life. There is not a single party in Canada advocating for US-style healthcare— it’s political suicide because no one wants to get rid of healthcare
