"No disrespect to Denver, but I kind of gave a fist pump," Mitchell said an hour later Thursday night while wearing a crisp new Jazz hat. "Just really excited to go to Utah."
"At Louisville you can take 25 shots as long as you play great defense, so obviously I'm not going to be able to take 25 shots my rookie year, or pretty much any year in the NBA," he said. "But I'm just going out there, really just working on better shot selection knowing you're going to get four shots a game, maybe sometimes two, and you just gotta be able to knock down shots when they count and do your role."
I truly don’t think he’s kidding when he says he did not expect all of this soo fast. I think he’s just as suprised as anyone. I mean as suprised as we are, it seems the Jazz FO truly wanted this kid. From the stories of DL telling everyone they better not talk about his workout, to trading Lyles and their pick to get him, DL deserves a lot of credit because they saw more than defense in Donovan to want to get him so badly......mostly probably how good of a kid he is.Yeah, some nights Donovan will get four shots a game...
So insane where he's at right now compared to where everyone, including himself, expected him to be. He was supposed to come in as a defensive specialist who wouldn't be counted on for points.
I love Donovan. I want to be his friend.
@donovan come to a poker game, coming in May.
The ultimate fan/player opportunity there has ever been.
Let's make it happen!
#metooi really hope Donovan doesn't hang out with old sailors.
Paging Karl Malone...Utah is a beautiful city. lol
i really hope Donovan doesn't hang out with old sailors.
Hey some guys he plays basketball with are older than me.
Worst "hey i'm still young and unlike you old bastards i still have a future" post ever. Everything gets worse as you get older Jazzta, every day is an enduring misery, you have nothing to look forward to.
Wrong! That wasn’t my point Ruba!
