Jazz 2017/18 Playoff Bus! All Aboard!

Guys, it's almost done. 49 wins get us 4th place, 48 probably 5th, 47 6th-7th depending on tiebreakers, 46 8th. So, in order to miss the playoffs, we would have to finish 3-5 and either Nuggets finish 6-1 or Clippers 6-2, and they play each other once, plus other really difficult games.

In fact, the Clippers are probably paying more attention to Spurs and Wolves.
Spurs fell to 43-32 (2-9 on the road since Feb. 1)
Their remaining games:
Thunder Rockets @Clippers @Lakers Blazers Kings @Pelicans
Wolves have won 4 of the last 10 and even though they have 3 games against tanking teams, they just lost to one of them at home, so... if you watched their last quarter vs the Grizzlies you know they are absolutely terrified and gassed. This wasn't a case of Schroeder going off, it was a franchise used to losing*. Our game at Minnesota is going to be fun.
At the time we were 19-28, the Wolves were 31-18. Since then, Jazz 23-4, Wolves 11-15.

Last night broke almost completely the Jazz's way.

Spurs, Pelicans and Nuggets all lost. Only those pesky Clippers spoiled the party. Keep your eye on the Clips. They are favored in 6 of their remaining 8...

Tonight's games:

Jazz v Celtics
Blazers @ Grizzlies
Hawks
@ Wolves
Clippers v Suns

If the Jazz win tonight they retake the 5th seed!!!
Other than that a rough night. All of our competition plays tankers. Jazz just need to handle business and it won't matter.

One game at a time, but it's looking really good. However, when you have tanking teams like the Grizz randomly show up to play, it will make these last few games very interesting.

IT out for the year so they can start working on that hip.

Jazz play LAL twice and only Minnesota and SAS once - the rest of their schedule is meaningless to us.

Yeah, he hasn't been great but he can light it up on any give night.

I'll take that as good news.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned yet but the Celts will be without Morris and maybe Horford tonight.

Also the Blazers will be without Lillard.

So we could be 3 games out of the 3 seed after tonight. 1 game out of the 4 seed. And in the 5 seed.

And the Thunder play at the Spurs tomorrow...so if we win and they lose tomorrow, we could be a half game back of the 4 seed and home court.

Just a half ****ing game. With the crappy Grizz coming into town on Friday.

True, but OKC owns the tiebreaker over the Jazz.

I am really thinking we should stay in 7th place and beat injured Warriors in playoffs. If we climb to 4-5 and play OKC even with home court advantage we will struggle. 6th seed and playing Portland is better, but 7th and feasting on bandaged Curry less Warriors seems like no brainer.

No point in worrying about that. Just focus on winning every game, and we'll cross the playoffs bridge once we come to it.

Would be DAF to target the 7th spot by intentionally losing then somehow slip and fall out of the playoffs.

I'm sure the FO and the players will be looking to win games at every opportunity.
