No.yeah, qualities like playmaking, elite defense, rebounding, court vision, efficient scoring, great passing fit mitchell better than simmons ? Are you kidding me ?

This. I remember one playwhere Simmons received a pass at the three point line. His man immediately sagged into the paint. Simmons advanced the ball to the elbow, where his man met him, all he could come up with was a difficult 15ft fadeaway jumper that never had a chance of going in.
He was literally holding the ball at the 3 line with the closest player being 10 feet away, had he had any three point ability what so ever, he'd have taken that shot. This makes me wonder if he'll ever be able to hit 3's or if this shot will ever be in his game. If not his rookie season will end up being his best season of his career. I don't know how he'll improve without it
Look at Ronnie Brewer. Coming out of college the scouting report was that he could play some pg, but never played any in the NBA, and despite athleticism he was limited in what he could do on offense because he couldn't shoot.

When you are so efficient scoring inside the paint like Ben, why bother taking the 3s, which is a lower % shot?
You must have just woken from a long thirty year coma, or you have a limited knowledge of basketball.

No, you are very wrong. Taking 2 point shots inside the paint is simply more efficient than chucking 3s and benefit your team more. And this is exactly what simmons is doing.
Let's do some maths:
Mitchell is a 30 % 3 point shooter, Ben is a 55% 2 point shooter, lets say they each takes 10 shots
mitchell 10×3×0.3= 9 poiints
simmons 10×2×.55= 11 points
As you can see, if you are efficient shooter inside the paint like Ben, your team actually gain more points from simmons' scoring inside the paint than mitchell's 3 balls. Hope this make sense to you.
For starters, Mitchell is a 34% 3pt shooter this season, not 30%. So that's 10.2 pts... much closer than Simmons' 11 points than you care to admit. No, you are very wrong. Wow!! I didn't think it was possible, but your idiocy has shut me up, to respond to this would be like talking to a wall, idiot!!

So apparently you didn't read my post, then?Well, I have showed you that a 50% inside scorer like simmons is more valuable than a 30% 3 point shooter like mitchell.
You are still not convinced?
Unless you are a 40% 3 point shooter, constantly chucking up 3s is actually bad for the team. And this is what mitchell is doing in the playoff.

For seconders, have you heard of the concept of spacing? Having 3pt threats opens up the middle and allows other players on the team to have a much higher FG%. If that's not a familiar concept I recommend you google "modern NBA offense" and read about it. Here's just one article that popped up: https://www.sbnation.com/2018/4/14/17237748/nba-offense-stats-highlights-analysis-breakdown

You have showed us you don't understand journeyman level half-court analysis. That's it.
