Kobe Helping the Jazz?

I also love Mitch's attitude. He is taking it as constructive criticism. It will be interesting to see game play tomorrow night.

I thought it was a pretty good breakdown, will be interesting what adjustments DM makes, think Kobe's analysis was pretty much on point. Really liked what he said about slowing the game down, taking their shooters out of rhythm, attacking Capella and getting to the line.

I use to hate Kobe but after that I want him as a consultant for the Jazz or work with DM in the off season.

The two biggest things he talks about: Mitchell has to draw fouls and Gobert has to seal better. I dont think either of those things are going to be magically learned this series. Mitchell hasnt been good at drawing fouls all year. His whole attacking the rim revolves around avoiding contact by slipping and extending around defenders.

So it doesn’t help the Rockets at all?
I think it could help Mitchell, especially the parts about being tougher w/ Ariza off ball. I think that the kind of thing, if Kobe says you are being too soft, that could be a huge motivation.

I mean more that it doesn’t help the Cavs at all.

I like post career Kobe... but stay away from DM please... don’t want him turning into Westbrook with that mamba mentality.

Dead on. The good news is they've been this good without those aspects in-play. I actually love that Donovan's game doesn't RELY on the refs, but he does have to learn to create contact because when he makes that part of his mentality, he should be able to get to the line any time he wants with how much he destabilizes defenses.

But yeah, Gobert really needs to work on quick, simple post work and the staff needs to implement whatever progress into the gameplan so they can neutralize certain defensive strategies that allow the opponent to go small and win the matchup more than they should.

I think Kobe was spot on about Gobert too. He has to seal better and stop allowing others to push him out of position. He could be such better offensive player if he did.

Yeah, but he also has a small butt and a high center of gravity. Like Kobe said, the other players have to pass Gobert the ball in a spot where Paul cant strip him.

I watched the Details show last night, and I wondered if Donovan had had a chance to watch it. Guess so lol. Glad that he did and hope that he can pick a few things up from Kobe’s analysis of his game.
