What is the point of that TJF? Does it make you feel better to act like a dick? What is your solution to our title contention so I can poke massive holes in that?

Continue making solid draft selections, and rely on the coaching staff to develop talent as they have been, ride Rudy and Mitchell to the promised land.

Don’t like Troy Brown. Great length. Smooth player. Not worried about his shooting—form looks solid. But outside of shooting 3’s, his highlights consisted of drives to the basket that always ended up with him below the rim and usually using his off-forearm to create some separation for a floater or layup or something. Dude will get blocked a ton in the nba with that imo and maybe stolen a decent amount too. He sort of reminds me of Allan Houston in how smooth he plays.

I get what you are saying HH. I do.

I personally think that Brooklyn might see more in Burks and Harris (who they can more comfortably keep with $4 more of space) than Carroll and #29. This is all contingent on Brooklyn getting to #29 and not loving their options. That's what happens when teams sell their picks low. They simply don't love a prospect.

More than likely, Brooklyn takes somebody at #29, but I think this trade idea might interest them depending on who is on the board.

Okay, I def want Huerter.

I watched his frosh highlights. Unimpressive. A bunch of threes. Some dunks that were unathletic looking. Looked very white.

Then I watched his soph highlights. There’s a night and day difference in the athleticism, twitchiness. The difference jumped off the screen to me. His handle. Everything looked better.

With our staff and P3, if the kid is a worker, he could maybe continue to untap some of this athleticism and develop his overall game.

I don't get how the concept is so foreign. We are fans. We discuss ideas and we react to what happens. If you dont think that DL and his staff are presenting 100s of ideas daily about every pick position, you just don't get it.

5 of our best 6 players (DM, Faves, Rubio, Gobert, and Crowder) were acquired via a trade. 5 OF 6. Sure we could "trust the draft" and "development" but trades are a major part of our DNA.

Ideas have to come from somewhere and they evolve.

told you...this kid is exactly what we need.

I do love that we are all making it out like DL targets and gets his guy and has convictions without doubt... he laid the groundwork on the Denver deal but they called him, he admitted they didn’t know he was this good... I mean no one could have predicted that. Rudy was in part because Sloan loved him at his workout...he’s been excellent but don’t ignore the luck element.

He also locked into trey Lyles because of the balance beam test... he’s great but he’s been fortunate too.

Let’s say they do all their questioning on KBD and Frazier and think it’s teally a coin flip... does that mean he’s not decisive or lacks conviction? Or does it just mean projecting this stuff is hard and you do your best and hope to hit more than you miss? I’d just like to get s couple swings because I think there are worthy prospects out to 35/40ish
There are no coin flips.

There is no way they are drafting Rudy just cause Sloan liked him. They just assign each draft pick these little stories for the public to consume. DL has done it for every pick he has made.

Ideas are good.

You have a history of incessantly posting primarily terrible trade ideas with some good stuff mixed in. Then when people call you out, you go to the routine “oh well I guess you know everything so we should just talk about nothing!” bit that you like to pull out. Your routine gets stale. It isn’t so much that people don’t like trade ideas, it’s just you. It feels like it’s all you post about, and you can’t handle people disagreeing with you.

If we are trying to get another pick because we really like guys like Okobo, Okobie, Diop, etc, would people (other than Cy of course) think this is conceivable:

Burks, cash, #52 and a future 2nd
for
Carroll and #29
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=ybwtjr94

Why for Brooklyn - #1 - Burks makes $4 million less than Carroll next season. So we give them cash and save them cash in this deal. The Nets are rebuilding and Burks is 6 years younger. Maybe they think he can turn into a success story like Joe Harris.

Why for us: Carroll immediately becomes part of our rotation. If Favors leaves, he's probably the starter. #29 can be used on one of those guys I listed before.

So Burks gets a first round pick and a better player? Are you high? The Jazz cant even offload Burks for free.

K... point remains there is a lot of luck involved and a lot of things were not in DLs control. If he was so convicted on Rudy you never make the Burke trade and risk not getting him.

This.

Like, I may post some nearly equally as bad trade ideas at times (not as bad though, LoPo, let’s be honest) but people just ignore them and chalk them up as, “Oh, there’s dumbass Mantooth Wessing it up again.”

The Jazz already had Kanter and Favors at that point, so it probably wasnt seen as a priority where Burke was. I'm sure they really liked Burke too but his immaturity prevented him from adjusting to the NBA.
